About to embark on the mission.

The sword was heading towards Captain Wayne's body, and seems like there was nothing he could do about it. He couldn't dodge it, and he couldn't block it either. If not that his right hand wasn't at a wrong position right now, he would have found a way to block the attack with his sword...but too bad for him.

As it was right now, Hugo's sword was sure to hit his body, he was gonna accomplish his f**king aim. And it happened, the side of the sword hit Captain Wayne's body, and aim accomplished. Captain Wayne didn't fall to the ground or any stuff like that, but he felt a little bit of pain due to the force of the sword.

Hugo wasn't taking it easy on him, any time he throws an attack, he throws it with force. But Captain Wayne had been taking it easy on him, he makes sure there wasn't too much force to his attacks. As known, he manages the force of his attacks when training a student.

"I did it, one of my sword attacks touched you". Hugo uttered, it was an accomplishment.

"Yeah, you did it, you had one aim in mind, and you accomplished it. But don't you manage the force of your attacks?". Captain Wayne voiced out.

"I was just too focused on hitting you that I wasn't even bothering to manage the force of my attacks, it has become a norm for me". Hugo said.

"You've got to learn to manage the force of your attacks at any given situation, it's very important. You have to learn to slow down your attacks, attacking without being able to manage its force and pace can lead to mistakes sometimes. But it's okay though, I'm just happy to see that you're making progress and learning different skills,

You've learned martial arts, and you've learned some skills under it. You know how to jump down from high places now. And now, you're becoming good at sword fighting and learning different skills under it also. You are on the path to becoming an average soldier".

Hugo just smiled, then Captain Wayne said once again,

"Just 'cause your sword attack hit me doesn't mean our training has ended, you've still got things to learn regarding sword fighting, you've still got improvements to make".

"I know that".

And with that, they continued with their training. Captain Wayne didn't take it easy on Hugo, so Hugo found it hard to hit Captain Wayne again. He was able to hit Captain Wayne 'cause of the little distraction, 'cause he matched a rough spot and stumbled. If he can accomplish it again, he'll be really happy.

He tried all the different sword fighting skills he knew just to hit, Captain Wayne, but it was just so difficult to accomplish. He received beatings from Captain Wayne, many of his sword attacks hit Hugo in the body, but Hugo didn't give up. 10 minutes after one of Captain Wayne's slash attacks touched Hugo...Hugo accomplished his aim once again.

Another of his sword attack hit Captain Wayne, it landed on his neck. He was able to control the speed and force of the sword, so when it landed on Captain Wayne's neck, he didn't feel pain. After that occurrence took place, he said to Captain Wayne,

"If it were to be a real sword, your head would have landed on the ground or your neck would be slashed badly".

This was exactly what Captain Wayne said to him after his sword attacks landed on his neck...he was just doing the same. Captain Wayne said to him,

"I know that. Hugo, you improving".

A smile appeared on Hugo's face again, he did it once again, yeah, he f**king did it. And so their training continued, Hugo could at least say he was improving in sword fighting though he still had a long way to go.

Captain Wayne sat in his office as he kept on thinking and thinking, he had chosen the group of F class students that would go get Monk Talon's scroll. He chose the best of the best, but he couldn't just stop thinking, Monk Talon's house wasn't close to this academy, they'll have to journey far to get there.

And to get there, they'll come across lots of zombies, and they'll most likely come across tier 3 zombies, would they be able to fight against them? Would they be able to go and return safely? Would their fate be the same as the other students in the past that were sent to go get Monk Talon's scroll? These were the questions that kept on ringing in Captain Wayne's head.

But they'll have to go, they can't be in the dark forever? They have to know the main cause of this zombie apocalypse. The students were gonna depart tomorrow after receiving enough instructions from Monk Talon and him. They'll be loaded with weapons, the weapons they chose, and a pistol for each person.

If they can bring back the scroll safely, everyone in this academy would be happy, and most especially, Captain Wayne would be happy. He forced himself to remove all thoughts from his head, tomorrow would be the D-day.

At the time of 7 pm the next day, all the F class students that were to go get Monk Talon's scroll had woken up, freshened up, and right now, they were prepared. They were all dressed in black, thick black clothes, thick black trousers, and black shoes. That was the code dressing for every student in this academy that wants to go on a mission.

Apart from this academy, it had been a thing for soldiers to put on black whenever they want to go on important and dangerous missions. Not all the time though, but in most cases. The students were four in number, two boys and two girls. They were afraid, they didn't want to die, they didn't want to get bitten by those bizarre creatures, but they knew they have to do this.

They had been given one pistol each with bullets, and their weapons were on them. They were carrying backpacks, and the backpacks were loaded with foodstuff, black clothing, and some other stuff. Right now, they were in Monk Talon's compartment, he was giving them directions on how they'll get to the building where his apartment was situated.

They were all from this city, so the moment he mentioned the name of the boulevard where the building was located, they all nodded their heads, they knew it. He also gave them detailed explanation of where the door to his apartment was located, there were different apartments in the building.

And lastly, he told them where they'll find the scroll once they enter the apartment. Now that their heads were filled with knowledge, Captain Wayne told them some encouraging words, and they were motivated to embark on the mission. They evacuated Monk Talon's compartment and straight to the compound.

Then Captain Wayne announced that everyone should come to the compound, both students and adults. And that's what happened, within some minutes, everyone was on the compound. The F class students that were about to go on the mission were standing close to Captain Wayne. Then Captain Wayne glanced at everyone and said,

"Every student in this academy knows about Monk Talon's scroll. He's the only one that can give us information about the cause of this zombie apocalypse, and as he's told us, he wouldn't be able to do so without his scroll. We've sent students in the past to go get the scroll, but no success, most of them weren't able to make it back to this academy,

We are about to take the risk again, this group of F class students beside me are about to embark on the journey to go get the scroll. They are determined and motivated, and though they are scared, when I chose them, they willingly accepted".

Then Captain Wayne glanced at the four young soldiers and uttered to them,

"So, what do you guys have to say".

The oldest among them said, "I'm speaking on behalf of myself and my other comrades. We are willingly doing this 'cause we don't want to stay in the dark forever, we want to know the cause of this apocalypse. We are doing this for everyone in this academy, we are willing to sacrifice our lives for this,

But we hope to live too, so what we hope for is for you guys' continuous prayers as we are about to embark on this mission. If we go and come back safely, it would benefit everyone in this academy. That's all I have to say".

And a resounding round of applause echoed around the compound after the guy finished making that statement...he was good with words.
