Yeah, he was gonna prove that his practice yesterday wasn't to waste. The bullet got closer to the wood and penetrated that same red spot. Another smirk appeared on Hugo's face, he was doing it. Captain Wayne held Hugo on his left shoulder once again and stated,

"Haven't you learned how to make use of a pistol already? Seems like you've learned to make use of it already".

"I think so". Hugo said.

For him to stop, he needed to hear the system's notification that he had accomplished the quest of learning to make use of a pistol under two days. Or would the system notify him about it later? Well, he was gonna keep shooting, he had already taken it like he's learned to use a pistol.

Like, he did it, he learned to use a pistol under two days, someone that doesn't know what a pistol was before? He remembered the first time he set eyes on a pistol, when he first transmigrated into this earth. The lady he saw in a car with a hole in her head and a pistol beside her, yeah, the lady that committed suicide...that was the first time he set eyes on a pistol.

He remembered the other lady he saw that committed suicide the same way also, but he quickly shook the image off his head, he didn't want to think about it too much...it isn't a nice thing to remember. The shooting kept going, and it was evident that Hugo had learned to make use of a pistol already...so fast.

He kept penetrating the red spots, but he missed some though. Captain Wayne hadn't even taken his attempts, like, what else does he want to teach, Hugo?

'BANG!'

The last gunshot sound resounded, Hugo had exhausted the bullets in the gun. Captain Wayne placed his palm on his shoulder and said,

"Now, that's fast, man, you learned how to make use of a pistol under two days? No student I trained was as fast as this. You truly stopped with the failed attempts as fast as possible. Well, I could see the determination in your eyes, even when you were failing, you kept on going".

Hugo only nodded his head to Captain Wayne's statement, all he was waiting for now was the system's notification that he had accomplished his quest and had been granted the Exp. Captain Wayne was still speaking,

"You are among the students I trained that made fast progress. You're good at martial arts and sword fighting already, and now, you've learned to use a gun. That's great".

Hugo was still waiting for the system's notification, but he hadn't heard or seen anything.

'Well, if it doesn't come now, it would come later. What I know is that I've already learned how to make use of a pistol'. Hugo thought to himself.

He told Captain Wayne to hand him another bullet, and Captain Wayne did so. He removed the old bullet and inserted the new one into the pistol. Then he uttered to Captain Wayne before he began shooting,

"I want to flex out my shooting skills, yeah, I f**king learned how to use a pistol under two days".

And with that, the sounds of gunshots began echoing around the compound, Hugo kept on shooting and penetrating the red spots. You know, he wouldn't have learned to use a pistol under two days if not for the system. The system's quest was just like a force that pushed him to put in efforts to learn it...now, look at him.

He was still shooting when the system's interface appeared in front of him while hearing the voice of the system,

[ Quest accomplished, learned to make use of a pistol under two days]

[ Reward: +20 Exp]

Finally, the Exp has been earned, the quest has been accomplished. Due to the notification, Hugo spaced out a little, and Captain Wayne noticed it, so he inquired of him,

"Any problem? Why did you suddenly stop shooting?".

"Oh! no problem, just thought of something". Hugo uttered.

And with that, the shooting continued, the red spots were being penetrated by the one and only, Hugo.

Captain Wayne and Hugo were doing their normal stuff currently, sitting on the ground. This was barely done between the teachers and the students they were training, sitting on the ground to discuss wasn't part of the teachers' thinking at all. They do relate with the students they were training, but sitting on the floor to do that wouldn't work at all.

That's why some of the A class students envied, Hugo. Like, first of all, he was being trained by Captain Wayne, the captain of this academy, and his comrades. Secondly, the way Captain Wayne does relate with him was unique, sitting on the ground to discuss and all that.

All the F and S class students he trained also enjoyed these benefits. As of this point, Hugo was glancing at, Ryder, was Ryder still on a higher level than him once it comes to gun shooting? Maybe..umm, most likely. But if he was on a higher level, Hugo was sure to reach him soon.

Captain Wayne's mind had been busy for some time now, he was sitting close to, Hugo, but the both of them hadn't uttered a single word to each other for minutes now. They were doing the normal stuff, glancing at the events taking place on the compound. But though Captain Wayne's gaze was on the events taking place on the compound, his mind was still busy.

He was contemplating if he should reveal to Hugo what he failed to reveal to him when he first arrived at this academy. He was supposed to reveal it to him and the guys in his group that day, but he didn't due to certain reasons. Not all the students in this academy knew about it, only a few, and most of them were students he trained.

He remembered the determined expression on Hugo's face when he was shooting the gun. The way he held the gun, that's the way Captain Wayne held his gun when he was carrying out those acts. Contemplating for about a minute more, Captain Wayne decided that he was gonna reveal it to Hugo now.

"Hugo". Captain Wayne called out.

"Yes". Hugo uttered and glanced at him.

"I've got something to tell you, something I should have revealed to you for some time now, but I decided not to, I have my reasons".

Hugo became inquisitive at that moment, he hadn't really understood what Captain Wayne was talking about, but hearing that he's got something to reveal to him was enough to make him curious. Captain Wayne was still speaking,

"You remember when you first made it to this academy, and you were told about the teenagers that made it to this academy two to three days ago...now, the five of you are in the same group".

Hugo nodded his head, curiosity more evident on his face. Captain Wayne was still speaking,

"Before Monk Talon clarified you guys about the different tiers of zombies, I first explained to you guys how this academy came to be, how I was able to establish it with the help of my comrades. I told you guys about the so-called government officials, how they treated us like rags. I remember telling you guys that something happened to them and my commander".

"Yes, yes, you refused to reveal it to us that day, it had already skipped my mind. So what happened to them?". Hugo inquired with that inquisitiveness very evident on his face.

Captain Wayne sighed, a bit of that annoyed expression appeared back on his face. The same annoyed expression that appeared on his face when he was telling them about the government officials. But the one on his face right now was slight. He glanced down, then raised his head once again, without glancing at Hugo, he uttered,

"I killed them, I killed them all".

"What!". Hugo voiced out audibly, the inquisitive expression on his face turned into a bewildered expression, he wasn't expecting Captain Wayne to say this. He was thinking that they got bitten by zombies, but it happened to be that it was Captain Wayne that killed them?

"I killed them all, I couldn't accept the fact that we lost loved ones while trying to protect them, and they dared curse at us 'cause of some mistake? Some of my comrades are aware that I ended their lives, but none of them helped with the killings, I told them not to, I did it myself,

After cursing at us that day, we left with an enraged heart. We made it to the nearest Barack, and what our commander could tell us was, 'What has happened has happened'. Both the loved ones we lost while trying to protect those bastards, the insults we received from them, and all that, they've all happened...that's what he meant by that statement,

But no, I wouldn't take that, I wouldn't take it".
