CONTRITE FOR HIS ACTIONS 3

The General Manager narrated his discussions with the Chairman and his suggestion to proceed for some days' rest to the Vice Chairman.

His story shocked Mr. Ken Israel because he was hearing it for the first time, and he became distraught and inquired.

"Does that explain why your phone was switched off when I dialed your number yesterday?"

"Exactly. I was at the clinic then. I was hoping that Dr. Promise Dike would have informed the house."

"Dr. Promise Dike was late for the meeting, and I have gotten why he was late. He came in after I had made the call to you, and he never knew that the Chairman asked after you, nor that any call was put across to you."

"I see."

Now, the General Manager can put the dots together. He had been wondering why the doctor did not report his admission to the clinic to the house.

"Besides, you did not give him the permission to do that. Did you?"

The General Manager nodded his head in disapproval.
