Now, Dora rested her butt on the desk and faced him. She lifted his jaw with her right hand and showed anger.
"You're at it again, hubby. Does it mean that the children and I are not enough for you? Can't we occupy the vacuum that your father had created?"
Before he could say a word, she walked angrily to the bed, laid down and covered herself with the duvet. She knew was aware of his reason for sobbing, his father. Anytime a 'father' is mentioned in a conversation, he would remember his father and his unpleasant childhood.
'He should have been over that by now.'
Dora thought as she pondered on her husband's plight.
He cried some more before joining her on the bed. Then, she turned her back against him as soon as she felt his presence on the bed. Ken snuggled himself into the duvet too and gazed at nothing because he did not know what to tell his wife. He had made promises over and over again to her not to demean himself and cry any more about his irksome past.
