Loving Family

When Evan Livares went downstairs, his family and Aviana were already seated on the dining chairs, all set to have dinner as soon as he appeared. Before he approached them, he took a deep breath to ease himself.

This was harder than he thought.

Flashing a smile and trying to appear as normal as he could, he sat down beside Aviana. "Did I take long?"

"You're quick," Aviana remarked and continued, "Your mother said that you're almost done. So, we wait for you here."

Though Evan knew that his mother didn't even come up to know that, he wasn't surprised by her prediction. "She knows me the best," he muttered and turned to his mother with a little smile on his face.

"Alright." Major General Rylan suddenly spoke up in a pretty loud voice and glanced at his wristwatch. "Now that we are all here, let's start eating. I'm about to be late."

"You and your work," Mrs. Livares scoffed as she started eating, making her two children laugh.
