Lie To Himself

When Aviana Valos noticed how sincere her brother was, she struggled to argue with him.

It's not like Austin was wrong.

"Let's not talk about it anymore," she muttered as she turned away from her brother. "I want to study."

Despite her seemingly blunt response, Austin saw through her and he ended up smiling. "Let's go out for dinner tonight," he said to her.

Looking at her brother once again, Aviana let out a sigh. "No, thanks. I don't want to be a third-wheel. Just go and enjoy your time with Natalie."

"Really? But she's the one who asked me to bring you along. Maybe she wants to cheer you up." There was a playful smile on Austin Valos's face when he looked at his sister's reaction.

When Aviana thought about it, she believed it wasn't right to turn down someone who would soon be her sister-in-law. "Alright. But don't bring up this topic before her. It's already embarrassing enough that our family is this complicated."
