Even If That Person Is You

Evan Livares nervously squeezed his clothes when he saw the keycard on his desk. However, he didn't even have time to think as his mother and father finally became aware of his presence.

"Evan." His mother called his name and abruptly rose from her seat. "Are you alright?" She walked toward him and observed him while putting her hands on his upper arms.

Sylvia Livares noticed right away that Evan wasn't wearing the same clothes as when he left last night. However, she was too bothered by his pale face to point out his clothes. "Are you sick?" She asked and felt Evan's forehead.

Forcing a little smile, Evan Livares gently put down his mother's hand. "I'm fine, Mom," he said. "My fever is already gone."

Just as Evan feared, his father picked up the keycard and approached him. He could tell how his father also noticed that he was now wearing different clothes.

"What is this, Evan?" Major General Rylan Livares asked, lifting the keycard.
