Even If It Gets Harder, I Will Fight Back

Once Evan explained to his parents why he was so late, he noticed relief on his mother's face.

With so many things going on lately, Sylvia Livares was scared that something might be wrong when Evan wasn't home even when it was past midnight. But it turned out that everything was fine.

"I'm sorry, Mom," Evan Livares muttered after explaining everything. "I fell asleep and didn't know I will be this late."

"You're fine and that's enough, son," Sylvia Livares promptly said. "You should go up and sleep. You look tired."

Evan nodded and briefly glanced upstairs. "Is Emily sleeping? I saw her missed calls too."

"Your mother put her to sleep after you called," Rylan Livares responded. "She insisted to wait but we managed to convince her."

Walking upstairs, Evan Livares halted before Emily's room and then carefully opened the door instead of retreating to his room right away. Then he watched his younger sister who was now sleeping on her bed.
