Beautiful Night

"Are you serious, Jade?" Max asked again to confirm.

"Do you want me to take back on my words?" Jade answered with a question.

Max shook his head. He kissed her again and then he gently released her.

"Shall I show you how the shining moon looks so bright unobstructed by the trees?" Max asked.

One of Jade's eyebrows rose. She was so curious. She likes romantic things. And when Max offers it, of course, she won't refuse. She nodded with a smile on her lips.

Max then got up and then she bowed. "Get on my back. I'll take you there, Jade," Max said.

Hesitantly, Jade went up and wrapped her arms around Max's neck.

"Well, get ready for your first experience with your vampire boyfriend, Sweetheart."

Jade couldn't explain how Max could bring her to such a high peak in such a short amount of time. All she knew was that she was already standing on that peak for real. Her legs were shaking violently from the shock.

"H-how come?" she asked.

"One of the virtues of vampires. They are fast and invincible," Max informed her. "More importantly, look over there. The moon looks bigger, doesn't it?"

Max moved places. He was behind Jade's body. For the first time, the distance is closer to the girl who is now his girlfriend. His hands started to wrap around Jade and she shuddered a little at the cold touch Max was still not used to.

"So beautiful," Jade said speechless.

"Like you. In the past, when I could only see you from a distance, you were beautiful. But now, after seeing you closer, you are even shinier and more beautiful," he explained.

Jade smiled. She began to comfort herself in Max's arms. She tried to get used to Max's cold skin. The two of them stared at the full moon which was growing and shining brightly.

"You're the only one who did this to me, Max. You did it on Valentine's Day," Jade said.

"Are you happy? I prepared it from the start. Owning you must be in a special way according to my dictionary."

"I'm happy and very happy. Thank you. I didn't expect a man to make me so exceptional like this," Jade said.

Max smiled. He took a deep breath of his girlfriend's cologne to remember it and let its scent linger on him.

"Tell me about vampire traits," Jade asked.

"Hmm ... " Max mumbled. He thought of the appropriate words to tell her.

"Besides being fast and invincible," Jade added.

"They're selfish, easy to get jealous, wild and brutal in bed, and-"

"What do you eat and drink, Max?" Jade asked to cut him off. She couldn't hear more after the words 'wild and brutal in bed', it seemed to make her think all kinds of things.

"Blood. I eat and drink blood. Errr, I have a blood bag supplier I got from the hospital," Max replied. "But I- I mean, us, my family, can eat human food."

Jade swallowed her saliva. It reminded her a few minutes ago when she felt Max's blood heal her.

It seemed understandable, she thought.

"You didn't kill humans?" Jade asked.

"Hmm ... depends."

"How about your family?" Jade asked then.

"Same. My family is the same as mine. I mean, supplier of blood bags from the hospital, that's for my family and me," Max replied more clearly.

Jade suddenly thought of a girl's voice asking for help. She knew that Max must know something. "W-what about the girl I heard screaming earlier?"

Max was silent. He could barely answer because suddenly his jaw twitched.

"Max?" call Jade.

"Ah ... th-that ... there is one of my enemies who hunt in this forest at night," Max explained.

Jade's brow furrowed.

"Well, you're the exception because I warned him not to hurt you. Because if that happened, I would easily take his heart," Max said as if he could read Jade's mind.

Jade was touched by Max's t. Any girl, who has a soft heart, must feel very touched and touched when she knows there is a man who is protecting her secretly.

"You're so sweet, Max. Really. I feel lucky to have met you."

"I'm the lucky one to have you," Max said.

For a few minutes, they stayed like that until Jade felt sleepiness overtake her. "I think I'm sleepy," Jade said.

"Come on, go home. You have to go to school, right this morning?"

"Ah ... right. You also know that I'm a college girl. Well, let's go home then."

"Are you ready to ride with me?"

Jade laughed. She punched Max in the arm and laughed with satisfaction. They finally went from the top and of course at the speed that Max did.

Max went straight through Jade's bedroom window without Jade asking. Because he already knew Jade's habit of always going out every night.

"Go to sleep," Max said.

"Are you going to be here?" Jade asked.

"I ... I'll wait for you to close and I'll go."

"Ah, hold on," said Jade. She reached for her cell phone on her study table and then handed it to Max. "Give me your cell phone number."

Max smiled. He then saved his number on Jade's cell phone and then gave it to her.

"Thank You."

"Now go to sleep, Jade. It's getting late."

Jade crawled onto the bed and started to lay down. Then she looked at Max who was still standing stiffly in his place.

"Come here. Sit here until I sleep, Max," Jade begged him.

Max headed to the edge of the bed hesitantly. Then he sat down and Jade took his hand for her to hold. She was getting used to Max's skin feeling cold.

"Thank you, Max."

"What for?"

"For the romantic stuff tonight. I don't know if you're that romantic or just today because it's Valentine's Day, but I'm delighted."

"Believe me, I am indeed the romantic man among my family. And I should be the one thanking you for accepting me even though you know I am a vampire."

"It doesn't matter, right, if I say I love you?" Jade asked.

"I want to hear it instead."

"I love you, Max. I love you for coming into my life in such a beautiful way."
