The Werewolf's Changes

She smiled through the day after she met with Max yesterday. Well, in the end, Jade chose to put aside her selfishness and met her boyfriend. Even so, she will try to help Max to control his desire for blood.

After finishing college, Jade left the campus building and saw a group of men near her car, stood there and the one guy just looked at her. Jade knew him, she had just met yesterday. The werewolf man.

Her steps stopped. Her hands were already in her coat and she was ready to give him her pepper spray if necessary. But instead, the man who had spoken to Max yesterday came closer to her.

"You're Jade," he said to Jade.

"And who are you?" Jade asked without caring about the tone of her voice that sounded indifferent.

"I'm Shane. And well, I thought you saw me yesterday. Sorry for the bad view," he said.

Jade sighed. The man named Shane who was now standing in front of her didn't look as bad as she thought. Her shoulders immediately loosened from the feeling that had previously made her tense.

"Did you come here to see me, Shane?" Jade asked directly.

Shane nodded. He licked his lips as he looked around. "I'd like to talk about Max. But I don't think we will discuss it here. It's too risky."

Jade raised one eyebrow. She doesn't have any fear of anyone. Even though she just met him, she trusted him for no reason.

"Then where?" Jade asked.

"In the forest."

"With your flock?" Jade asked, watching them.

Shane noticed his flock were looking at him so seriously. Then he shook his head at Jade. "No. They're leaving. Maybe hiding, because we can't be that far from each other."

Jade didn't understand about werewolves or whatever. But she tried to understand and she nodded.

They started walking down the street and into the wet forest and it pierced Jade's bones even though he was wearing a thick coat.

Seeing Shane, who was only wearing a t-shirt and shorts, made Jade wonder, does a werewolf's body shape when they become a human, they don't feel cold?

Her burden grew instantly.

Her boyfriend and family are vampires.

Then she met werewolves.

To her knowledge, vampires and werewolves have opposite relationships, in the sense that they are enemies. They even have their boundary area.

"What do you think of me?" Shane asked, breaking the silence and Jade's daydreaming.

"What am I thinking? Does it matter?" Jade asked back.

Shane shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe it matters, maybe it doesn't. I just want to know what I look like in your eyes. I mean, werewolves to a real human eye."

Jade laughed. For some reason, Shane's words made her think that it was funny. But she certainly didn't mean to mock him. Certainly not.

"Is your human body isn't cold?" Jade asked finally.

"Would you like to hold my hand to confirm something?" asked Shane.

They stopped and at that moment Jade grabbed Shane's outstretched hand. The warmth she felt spread through her body. The cold of Alaska seemed to be covered by the warmth of Shane's body. Even though she was just holding his hand, it felt extraordinarily warm.

"Seeing your expression, you seem very pleased with my temperature," said Shane smiling.

"Wonderful. You're warm. What else is like that?"

Shane nodded. "That's why we don't wear thick clothes. It might raise questions for ordinary people, but who cares, right?"

Jade didn't let go of Shane's hand. They continued on their way and she assumed that Shane was warming her up indirectly.

"I and Max are enemies, Jade. Vampires and werewolves are enemies," Shane began explaining clearly.

I was right, she thought.

"Then why did you tell me?"

"Because you're his girlfriend and I ... I don't know why you can date him when there are many ordinary people who can be your girlfriend," Shane explained in reply.

Jade immediately stopped and released her grip. She turned to Shane because she was offended by his words. For the first time, someone commented on her relationship with a vampire.

"You know you shouldn't have said that, Shane. You don't know what made me accept him!" Jade hissed. She backed away slowly until Shane sighed, knowing he had said the wrong thing.

"Jade, listen first. They're dangerous. To humans. If your father finds out, what-"

"You know my father?" Jade asked to cut him off.

"The entire nation of vampires and werewolves knows who your father is, Jade. Because vampires are a danger to one's life."

"Stop talking like you know everything!" Jade exclaimed.

"Jade, I didn't mean-"

"Stop right there! Don't come any closer!" Jade exclaimed. She was getting further and further away from Shane.

Suddenly Max appeared quickly. He immediately stood in front of Jade to protect her and stretched his fangs to Shane.

"What did you do to Jade, Shane? And why are you with her?" Max asked, starting to get worried.

Shane didn't answer. Suddenly his body smoked and steamed. Jade's two eyes could see that. She was surprised and her eyes were wide. Shane's breath and he growled until his human body turned into a huge wolf-dog that nothing compares to.

Jade fell backward in shock while Max remained where he was. He was ready to ward off Shane if he got close, but Shane, who had turned into a werewolf, just growled with drool and sprinted away from them.

Max turned and he crouched down. "Jade, are you okay?" Max asked. Jade immediately hugged him without words and she was still in shock from the changes she had just seen. Shane's change of anger shows his hateful face when he was in his werewolf shape.

Soon the werewolf's roar sounded. And somehow Jade knew that it was Shane's angry werewolf roar.

"I think he is angry," said Jade.

"Don't worry. Werewolves can't control their anger. So, I want you to stay away from them. I don't want any bad things to happen to you, Jade."

But the roar couldn't even stop. Jade didn't know why she worried about him. She felt like she was letting him down.
