No news about Max.
She hadn't heard from Max for a week. He really didn't see Jade even though Mara had said that Jade really didn't look like she was hiding anything.
Jade missed him, but she was also getting used to being without Max. Because she didn't know what else to do to meet Max. If Jade came to Max's house, She wasn't ready to meet the others. She wasn't ready to see the expressions on Max's family who still blamed her.
While sitting on a chair and waiting for Zack to finish making breakfast, Jade checked her cell phone.
No messages or calls from anyone, she thought.
"This time I'm just making steaks. You don't mind, do you?" said Zack as he placed the other plate in front of Jade.
Jade put her phone in her bag. She then looked at her plate of steak and nodded at her father. "Yeah, I don't mind, Dad."
"By the way, I haven't seen Max in a long time. Did you two break up?" Zack asked.
