There was no sign of Shane on campus. Jade admitted that she was waiting for him to arrive, but until the bell rang, there was no sign of him.
Jade even texted him, hoping Shane would reply. He felt lonely without Shane and somehow she was afraid without him.
After class, Jade did not see that Shane would reply to her message. She was positive that maybe Shane was busy or had important activities off-campus.
She sighed, enjoying her canteen burger. Kesha suddenly approached her with a wide smile. She placed her tray in front of her and chewed her food.
"Ah, I only had the chance to be alone with you when Shane wasn't around, Jade," Kesha confessed.
Jade thought, was she really that busy that her friend even had a chance to talk to her in Shane's absence?
"What's wrong, Kesha?" Jade asked.
"It's nothing. I just miss being together. Carla is avoiding me too."
