"I can explain, Jade," Max said, approaching her. But what Jade did was step back step by step.

She shook her head at Max. Her disappointment was evident in her eyes. Even though she heard everything and digested and blamed herself for Max's actions, she was still disappointed as Max was disappointed in her.

"I don't want to talk to you," Jade said. Her voice trembled, ready to cry.

Max sighed and started talking as best he could. "I did everything because I couldn't help myself from being disappointed because of what you did behind my back."

"But you shouldn't be rioting with them! I'm the one making the decisions! Where's your brain, Max?!" Jade shouted.

Shane who watched just stood still and didn't move. He was ready to risk if Jade was angry with him after this. He had pretty much taken every risk. And with being in the middle of his mate's fight with her boyfriend, he just wanted to keep his mate going all right.
