He has to mark her, to make her his mate

~~

It's been five days since the day he started taking her out on a daily basis.

Till now, they have visited the temple, the park, the school, the zoo, and the tea plantation.

On the fifth day;

It was time for them to go back home. Yuvika had mostly wondered what's gotten into her Boss. But now many things have changed. They would make normal, out-of-work conversations or listen to some FM music while driving.

No matter where they go, she won't let him off the hook, till he treats her for dinner and good wine. In return, he will make her drive the way back home, while constantly guiding her in the directions.

Little changes. But changes, nevertheless.

Once again, they opened the door and went back to their own rooms. After getting freshen-up and ready to sleep, they came out and wished each other a good night, and left again.

This idea belongs to the one and only Ashutosh Pratihast, who couldn't tolerate her careless sleeping. At least in this way, she would force herself to clean herself from head to toe, before sleeping. Not to mention, she had also started following on her broken skincare, haircare routine. All thanks to this.

Once he closed his room's door shut. He dialed Shivanshi's number and called. But when the call was about to end and he was losing hope, she picked up.

'Di.' He called out.

'Huh!' She asked, not quite pleased with the call since she was busy with some work.

' Should I call later?' Ashutosh, noticing her tone, asked.

'Naah, You will disturb me later, too. Better do it, now. What is it?'Shivanshi asked directly.

' Well, I think I found the answer.' He finally said.

' 'Answer?' Who gave you the question? Did I? I don't remember.' Shivanshi asked with a frown, trying to keep up with the conversation and the piles of paper in front of her, at the same time.

' No. No one asked me a question. What I mean to say is that I think I was wrong all along. Kirti isn't 'that' girl.' Ashutosh said patiently.

There was a pin drop silence on the line, for a minute. Silence before the storm. And here it comes.

'What do you mean? You said Kirti is that girl... Today is the 26th already. Just two days are left until the ' Mahashivratri' and now you are saying, she isn't the one. I am busy under the mountain of paper, making arrangements for the grand puja.

Our people are already counting on her. I am counting on her. We have already taken her for your mate. Yet, now you are saying, she isn't the one.' Shivanshi seethed at him while throwing all the papers on the ground, emptying her table in the fit of her anger.

'Calm down. Will you listen to me first?' Ashutosh said, making Shivanshi want to kill her own brother.

'What now?' She snarled at him.

' Remember, I said I was confused.' Ashutosh said and he heard a loud bang, the girl was already at her sanity's end. Here we go with the confusion thing again.

' I checked it and I am certain about one thing. My flash-marriage wife is my actual mate.' Asutosh said, shocking Shivanshi out.

There was pin-drop silence on the other side. After a few minutes, Shivanshi replied; ' Are you sure, this time? I don't want you to find another girl and say you might have made a mistake again.

I mean, man seriously, can't you even find the girl who is born for you? I understand, finding the right partner (mate) isn't always an easy thing. But still, many have found the right one. So, it's not an impossible task, alright! You have just wasted so many years. Can't you just find your lover?' Shivanshi said, bursting into fits of anger.

' I know what I am saying. I am not mistaken either. I have checked it out. That's why I am calling you. ' Ashutosh said, his patience too running out.

'Tell me, who is this wife of yours and what makes you think that?' Shivanshi said, after taking a deep breath.

'Yuvika Chauhan,Kirti's PA . Reasons ;

One. When I was standing in front of her to give her this proposal, I wasn't thinking as a cold, decisive, dominant chairman, but what would she think. How will she react?

If you know me, then you would know, I never care about other people, even if it's a life or death situation. But, I did.

Second. I was nervous when I couldn't reach her. I even use my power, just to be able to reach her place, to know what's wrong with her, only to find, she fainted out.

You know, we don't give in to our impulses like humans. But, it happened.

Third, I feel happy when she is happy, sometimes for no reason. I dislike the tears in her eyes, it made me uncomfortable. Her mood swings affect me greatly, which can never happen to a person unless they are emotionally attached to a person.

Fourth. I gave her surprises. Like seriously surprises, the thing that I loathe the most just to find that sweet smile on her face.

Fifth. As I have said earlier, my body reacts to her. When she was nervous, my hands were patting her, consoling her, even without my acknowledgement. When she was about to cry, all that I knew was that it was an uncomfortable sight to see and when I came back to senses, I was already hugging her.

Sixth. The person who doesn't even care about his meal, is actually ensuring that she won't skip any of her meals. Her comfort has become an unspoken top priority.

You know, what all these are leading into.' Ashutosh concluded his case.

Again there was a long silence, before Shivanshi replied ; ' This can lead to many things. Such as you are becoming more and more human. Such as you are a stupid person, who can't even find his own lover. Such as your mind and heart. playing games on you. Such as there's a possibility that she could be your mate to which I am relieved after hearing.

But it doesn't conclude anything. The one and only way to know whether you are mates or not, is easy as hell, you know.'Shivanshi replied, hoping this person turns out to be her brother's mate.

'That's where the problem lies. I can't test our bond. I don't want to touch her against her consent. Mate or no mate, I won't mark her to test our bond, against her will.' Ashutosh said rigidly, making Shivanshi feel the urge of strangling her brother to earth, only if he has been next to her. Not miles away, connected with this technology.

'What's wrong with consummating your marriage? That's the most common thing to do. You both are married legally as per human civilization. You have every right to demand it from her.' Shivanshi ended up saying in a deep, dangerous voice.

'But, I have already forced her to marry me. If I force her again, then what would that make me in her eyes. A spineless jerk! Besides, I have given her my word, that I won't do anything that she isn't comfortable with, or interfere in her lifestyle.' Ashutosh said with a deep sigh, trying to convince his sister would be one hell of a thing.

'Wow. So you are married, but not following even a single rule of married life. Then why did you even marry her, if you were planning to let her live a single life, despite being married to you?Huh!' Shivanshi ends up shouting, not quite understanding why her brother would be such a jerk, to not to claim his own wife.

' Because at that time, I still thought, Kirti is the girl we have been looking for. Besides, it can't be helped, we have made a legal agreement, which couldn't be broken.' Ashutosh lied, using the legality of humans to save himself from his sister's scolding.

As expected there was silence.

'Then, how will she do what is supposed to be done by her? Not to mention our people might revere and respect their Queen, but they definitely won't like an unmarked, unmated human roaming around freely in their territory. You can't expect our people to bow down to a mere human, not when their species is cruel than any monster of the wood.

You know, her loyalty, her trust would be questioned, if she isn't even in love with you. You know only by claiming her, you can make her the prophesied girl, who is our protector.' She paused in time, after all, who knows if their calls are being tab or not.

Trusting humans would be the last thing to do, when it comes to their secret.

'I know. Don't worry, I have made this most secured and unhacked line, with the help of The Hackers of 'The Raj'. So unless a person can hack 10 layers of firewall systems, they can't touch The Raj, while our calls will remain a secret.

About the upcoming event, I will see what I can do, without hurting her. Take care.' Ashutosh said and indicated the end of discussion.

'Fine, then you too take care.' Shivanshi said and then hung the call.
