She met him after nine years

Pranav, who could feel the lost puppy's dilemma, decided to lend his aid.

' Arey, Miss Chauhan. Didn't boss sent you to get the confirmation from Mr. Chotrani for our fast-food restaurant menu, this early in the morning? Did you meet him? What did he say?' Pranav explained the entire scenario to Yuvika, who has an 'O' look.

'Oh, that. Mr. Chotrani declined our offer of joining The Raj's restaurant. He said he wanted to work with The Raj as our main chef, but it would bring loss to his own hotels. We have to find someone else. I was considering Mr. Mukherji.

Be it in terms of reputation, class, and style, he matches the level of The Raj. Besides, he wouldn't let go of this golden opportunity, either.

What do you think?'She explained the entire scenario to the trio while asking for their opinion.

Luckily, it was the case yesterday morning. Or else, she would have definitely been blanked out. So, she didn't lie technically.

' Well, I believe in you, Miss Chauhan. If you find it right, then it is right. Go ahead with it.' Kirti said with a sweet smile while approaching and hugging Yuvika tightly.

Gosh, this girl is really cute. Super cute.

' So, how is this bird's flying journey going on?' Ashutosh asked, trying to divert his attention from the attention Yuvika was getting in his presence.

' Ah! It's going fantastically marvelously wonderful, as usual. If luck remains by my side, then there are 90% chances that I will visit South Korea next month.' Kirti said with a big smile plastered on her face. Making Yuvika and Ashutosh, who know her way too very well, sigh deeply.

' You know, you have your own jet and you can visit South Korea anytime!' Ashutosh asked back, making her give a wide smile.

'Of course, I do. But, you know the liberty we Indians hold with free things. So, how can I let go of that free ride option, either? ' She replied, earning a smile from Yuvika while another sigh from Ashutosh.

'So, what are you trying these days?' Yuvika asked next, her doe, brown eyes looking like an exciting child.

' Aerial yoga. Trust me, it's epic. You should give it a try, once.' Kirti replied while looking at Yuvika who tried to avert Kirti's gaze.

Yeah. Yeah. She wants her body to remain unharmed. So, she is good with the way she is living her life.

'Oh, come on, Miss Chauhan. It would be fun.' Kirti said while showcasing her excited side.

'Nah. I will pass. We still have a few pending proposals to work on. If I get a fracture or something, then it will just delay that.' Yuvika replied while wondering why she even asked in the first place.

' Come on. We will go to experts and learn step by step.' Kirti insisted.

'Unless you are willing to work in her place. I have no objection, either.' Ashutosh finally butted in, knowing Yuvika was on her strand's end.

Making Kirti seriously consider it.

' Oh no. Boss, you know work and I don't get along well with each other. Besides, if you like Miss Chauhan so much then let her be by your side. No objection.

But, Miss Chauhan, you have to handle everything related to this, for me, as usual. From pics to insta handles to identity to PR. Okay!' Kirti said, making Yuvika smile and nod.

Well, that's how Kirti is. Whenever she gets a new hobby, she creates a new insta account for it which is managed by Miss Chauhan and the editorial team of The Raj. Then from the beginning till now, everything related to that (in this case aerial yoga) including pics, information, videos, vlogs would be posted by her in that.

It's Kirti's way of creating a gallery full of memories of her, for her to watch in her old age. Since she changes her phone frequently.

They all talked for a long time, then she left to rest. Since she was on a one-week break. While Pranav busied himself with work. As for the couple, they were busy discussing the fact that whether they should tell Kirti or not about their marriage?

After all, it was clear, she didn't have even the inkling of this matter. She will feel hurt if she finds out from someone else. While she will hate them for breaking their vow if they tell her.

It was a huge dilemma.

~~

Two days passed;

Everything was going just fine. They still haven't told Kirti and every now and then, Kirti would show it to the people why she is worthy of being The Runaway CEO.

Because of her skills, her talent, her passion, her power is still unparalleled, unmatchable. For Yuvika, life was a bit easier. Since, she has someone to get orders from and report to, time-to-time.

~~

Soon, Kirti bid her farewell to the trio, to join her next flight. While the trio felt sad but still smiled when she left.

Yuvika's happy moments were over. Now, she was again CEO's cover. Once again workload will crush her beneath itself. Once again her boss would turn shameless and her personal and professional life will become a mess.

In this whole week, they have maintained the distance. Ashutosh couldn't find any suitable time to disclose the information to the person he once loved.

~~

Next day ;

Yuvika was on her way to the cabin when she saw a familiar yet unfamiliar back in Pranav's office. She could tell it wasn't Pranav, but there was no one else in the office, either.

She got the bad vibes and decided to check. She opens the door without knocking, making the man who was picking the pen from the ground turn and stare in the direction of the door.

Yuvika froze. It was him.

~~

Pranav came back to his lobby area, only to find Yuvika attached to his door, standing like a frozen statue. He fastens his speed to check on her, only to find her acting like a soulless person.

While the person in his office, on the other hand, seems to be completely at ease, sitting on the sofa leisurely in his three-piece brown suit, his legs on the glass table, his shoes facing the door, a cold, sarcastic smirk on his face.

But the moment he saw Pranav, he transformed into a normal person. His feet on the ground, an amicable smile on his face.

'Is everything okay, Miss Chauhan?' Pranav ignores the man and asks Yuvika, who seems to be in a trance.

'Ahem... Ahem...Miss Chauhan, are you okay?' Pranav asks again while nudging her little in her shoulder, bringing her back to the present.

'Oh. Sorry?' Yuvika asked, looking absent-mindedly.

' I was asking, are you alright? Please come inside.' Pranav said, then bring her inside, he didn't give her the sofa seat, but instead his own seat to sit, shocking the person, who was smirking just a few moments earlier.

Then, he handed her over the glass of water, to calm her. She drinks a little with grace, despite being in a trance, then tries to calm herself.

' Well, I am sorry, Mr. Jadav. I didn't mean to trespass. But I heard some noise and…' Yuvika tries to explain, making Pranav nod and cut her off in the middle.

'It's alright, Miss Chauhan. You don't have to explain it to me. It's your company too. Feel free to do whatever you like. I am still a learner and would need your assistance, you know.' Pranav said with a smile, bringing a smile on her face.

'Since you are here now. Then, I will take my leave.' Yuvika said, earning a nod from Pranav.

But before she could get up, Ashutosh's call came in. Thinking it might be something urgent, she picked it up. But due to still being in shock, her hands messed up and the call turned into speaker mode.

'Sweetheart, does it really take that long for a coffee? Don't tell me you are on your way to Karnataka to get the coffee beans?

Come on, hurry up. I am missing you, already. Just come soon. With or without coffee.' The voice that can create terror in the heart of many, the voice which is known to be deadly dangerous and powerful, the voice that can make people faint with a word or two.

It was the very same voice, but its tone was completely different. To say nothing about the third person in the room, even Pranav was shocked to hear The Ashutosh Pratihast's this side.

Yuvika was too embarrassed to even reply; she directly disconnected the call. But as if the caller wasn't satisfied, the phone rang again. While Yuvika gave an apologetic nod to Pranav and left his office with his visitor alone.

Yuvika ran to the Food Hub, grabbed the coffee, and then ran back to Ashutosh's cabin. But despite trying her best to busy herself, the flashes, the memories kept flooding in.

It was him. The person she had once loved. The person who had broken her. The person who had rejected her love. Ayushman Khurana. [ Not the actor Ayushmann Khurrana one. But when I think about this arc, this name pops up out of nowhere so I use it. Don't know why. Lol.]
