Prologue

"Maori. Maori. Maori!" I woke up with a shock. Mr. Howard look at me and sigh. "If you wanted to sleep, stay home so I may teach class." I nod, "Yes sir." I adjust myself in my seat and sigh to myself.

'It was that dream again...'I think back to the dream as I skim through the history book.

Everything in the dream was always red. I don't like red but at the same time I don't hate it. There was a red flower in bloom. It was under a red moon. The breeze felt cold against my skin. I don't feel as if I should be scared or not. Still this dream always appears...

Over.

And over.

and over.

and over again.

Under a rose was always a boy. He look very peaceful as if he was sleeping. I never met him or seen him in my real life but he was always there. He never opens his eyes when I have this dream. His hair was as silver as the gem. He was always dressed in a school uniform: like white long sleeves shirt and black slacks with red and black striped loose tie. The rose he was under was never big it just surround him like a barrier. I want to step in that barrier but I couldn't. I felt like if I did the dream would stop coming and I'll stop seeing him.

RING!

As the bell rang, I rose from my seat and grab my school bag and books. I make my way to my locker so I can grab my jacket and go home. "Maori!" a voice called out to me. I smiled a little at the voice knowing it's my only friend at this school today, Lyra. My childhood friend Kari and Hime are both out on vacation with their parents before fall break. My only friend who couldn't leave like me was Lyra. Lyra had long brown hair with deep green eyes. She is 5'5 like me with a petite build. She had a black cap on her hair with her fingerless gloves. She look like a bad-ass though she was a good student like me. I kind of wish I could look bad ass like her but I only got this eyepatch from when my family and I got in a car accident when I was little. Well I need to forget about that now. "Lyra, how was your hell?" "Boring but I survived it!" She showed me a thumbs up as I did one back. "So has lover boy appear in your dreams again?" I chuckled and blushed, "Shut up but nonetheless, he did." We both squealed though it may seem silly or weird to others. "I wonder if maybe you're psychic or something." "Yeah right, then you could be a werewolf like the boys in the movies." She gasp happily, "To be like Bae Will Be Heaven!" I chuckled because Bae she is talking about is Kiba from Naruto. Yep, we both are otakus too btw.

Anyways, we chatted for a while longer before we separated. She got on the bus with her sister to head home and I walk to my brother's car to go home. "Hey shortstack." "Hi," I said as I put I'm my headphones as he continued to talk to his friends on his phone. Life just seem simple on this day...until we reached home.

"Maori, you're transferring to a new school," my father tells me as my mom nods in agreement. "Eh? Haha nice joke mama and daddy. This is funny," I laughed hoping they would laugh, "Why am I the only one laughing?" My mom stood up and hug me as I stood still in confusion. "I'm sorry, baby, but you got to leave us. You can't stay with us anymore." I had tears filling up my eyes and as if that wasn't enough a man appeared at the door. "I'm here to pick up the student." "Mama!" I cried as the man picked me up with one hand. "Her bags and things are all outside." My family just let me get taken away by some man we barely even know in a matter of a day. Why? I couldn't fathom it. As the man put me in the car in the backseat, I realize my giant Pain-Sama plushie was in the car. It was as if they prepared for this before he even came and got me. I hug Pain and cried softly as I blast in the opposite of how I feel in my headphones: Bradio Flyers.I looked around the car which had a space of a limousine through teary eyes before shrugging and going to sleep. "Where am I going?" I asks to no one.

But a voice did answer. "Rosewood Academy "
