I look to the girl who Ren was trying to attack. He was really annoying but what you gonna do? She was a new student and we have our needs. Still we can't eat students or kill them. It's a part of why this school was made. Personally I just can't wait to go back to lay down. All the noise woke me up from my nap on the rooftop. "Teme! Hand me over my meal before I kill you," the wolf idiot growl. I sighs and said in a bored tone, "Come and get it." He tried to grab the girl, but I kick him dead in his teeth. I began to laugh, "You're really an idiot, you know that?" The wolf boy never answered back because I knocked him unconscious. I sigh as I look to the girl who cause it all. From her looks, she look like a frail child. I picked her up bridal style and carried her to the infirmary. She was very light for a...what is she? I look down at the sleeping face. Maybe she doesn't know herself since she didn't try to fight back. Her hair framed her milk-white face and covered her left eye. After thinking for longer than I should had, I continue walking with her in my arms.
When we reached the infirmary, Dr. Haga, the doctor of this school, was just leaving the room."Araragi-kun, you know this is not a room for those type of things." "Haga-san, it's not it. This is a new student who passed out. I brought her here to rest so I can go back to nap," I look to her.
"Isn't classes going on?"Haga look at me with a curious face.
"Yeah, but I don't feel like going," I shrug as I lay the girl down on the cot. She squirm a little while raising her skirt unconsciously. I blush as Haga peek over before being hit by me. I sighs as the girl 's eyes start to move before opening. She look around the room before seeing the way Dr. Haga and I was looking and notice her position. The girl pulled up the covers then threw a pillow at us. "Perverts!" "This is not what it look like! That's messed up to hit someone who saved you!" I grit my teeth as she stop to I guess remember what happened. "That doesn't give you the right to peek," she hop out of the bed before looking around scared, "Where's the wolf?" "He's not here, "I answer as she let out a breathe she was holding. She turn to look at me and took a breath to calm herself. "You're the new student everyone talking about?" "Yeah, but I'm not staying. I'm going home," she clench her fists like she was ready to fight me. I sigh and head towards the door, "I don't feel like going to class. Want a ride?" She look surprised and truthfully I was surprised myself. I barely knew her but I still decide to help and save her. "Excuse me," her voice snapping me from my thoughts. She look uncomfortable almost as if she didn't know what to say. "Let's go," I sigh again as I walk out the door. Haga-san shook his head as he watched us leave probably knowing I'm breaking the rules.
We walk down the hallway in silence for a couple of minutes. Then she asks a question which I had no answer to.
"Why did you help me?"
Why indeed I thought as I shrugs. "Who knows?"
She let a breath again as she look down before saying, "Thank you...for saving me...you probably didn't have to but you did." I halt and turn trying figure out how did she knew what I was thinking earlier. Instead, I turn around and chuckle, "What are you a mind reader? I saved you because I was bored, nothing more." The girl must have been fine with the answer because she was quiet all the way to my bike. "Tell where your house is." "It's on 6234 Crow Lane. You can't be serious about riding this bike to my house. "I turn around to smirk at her, "Do you doubt me?"
The girl then blush a bright red before standing on the poles of the bike wheel. In my mind, I thought for a second she look cute. Then I pedal my way to her house based off her scent and direction. As we rode, she asks, "What's your name?" I thought it was funny because we never meet again. Why would this girl who I barely met ask my name? Nonetheless I gave it to her.
"Araragi."
I could see at the corner of my eye that she was pronouncing my name. Then we made it to her house. The scene before us was worse than any scary movie...the reason why was because it was real.
