I held Maori as she cried in my arms for a long while. The night was getting darker as we sat in the ashes of her home. I raised her head and look her in her red swollen eyes, "Do you feel better?" Maori nods her head as she then flush in embarrassment. "Oh my God, I got snot all over you." I stifled a laugh before bursting to laughter. Maori pouts and puts her hand on her hips. "What's so funny?" She look like a small child pouting her cheeks puffed out. It was pretty funny to see her like this. I shook my head, "Don't worry about it. For now, let's head back to school. The night curfew will start in 10 minutes." Then, a growl was heard from Maori. She was holding her stomach with a blush and pout on her face.
I started laughing all over again. "Stop laughing at me," Maori whines as I wipe my eyes and get on my bike. "Come on, let's get going."
"To where," she sat on the back of my seat and look at me quizzically.
I smirk, "To the best thing about Rosewood Academy. "
Maori still look confused as I began to head to the Academy. When we arrived, I took us behind the school and skid my back in front of a tomb. It was small with roses around it and skull heads. "Where are we going, Arararagi-kun?""It's Araragi,"I turn to see her look apologetic. "Sorry, I fwub it." I shook my head as I touch one of the skull head on the tomb.
"Eh? Eh? Hmm? Eh? Eh?" Then, five guys with white hairs and scars over their right eyes peek out of the doors.
"Huh?" Maori jumps back in surprise. I chuckles, "Hey guys, do you think you can make a dish for our new classmate?" "Hmm, you know what I require for this to happen," The tall one with his hair ponytail said. "Yup," I hand him 4 50$ bills. "That's what I'm talking about. Let's get to cooking," The five said in unison as they open the door for us.
"Where are we, Aralagi-kun?"Maori asks.
"It's Araragi," I turn to look as she giggle.
"Sorry I fwub it," she smiles.
"I think you doing it on purpose," I narrow my eyes.
"I fwub dub it," She giggles again.
"Is this girl for real?"
"I did though and seriously where are we?" Maori look around the tomb which was different on the inside.
The floor was marble and shine red violet. The walls had different games from darts to bowling to arcade to billiards to dance dance revolution. The five guys were all dressed in bartender like clothing as they cook from behind the bar area. Some students were already having fun or chatting. I stretch my hand outward, "Welcome to Rosewood Academy's break room also known as Death Parade."
Maori's blood red eyes actually change to a lighter red as she look at the break room in awe.
I don't know why but the look in her eyes were prettier and better than the ones when her life was all a lie. Truthfully, I don't know why I am still caring for her, but as I look at her twirl in excitement I think "This is not so bad for me meeting her."
