Jay's POV

Right after Kayden totally settled in after moving in, we had discussed and have reached an agreement for Kayden to not continue working at the office anymore after he entered his fifth month of pregnancy.

During the discussion, we also had discussed about whether I should take a break as well, at which, to my surprise, opposed by Kayden very strongly.

I thought he would be more than happy to hear that I would take a break the same time as he was so that we could spend more time together, but that was not the case at all.

“You are the boss, you can’t be absent,” he told as a matter of fact, but I was taken aback still.

“John will be there,” using the other alpha thinking that it was a rational decision since John was more than capable, my reason was cut off before it could be explained.

“He is not the boss. The final word comes from you, you should still go to work” Kayden’s voice was soft as always, but the firmness was evident.
