Mrs Parkers

Exhausted and sleepy, Austin drove Tray, Zaylia and her friends home.

“Can I get an answer now? He asked.

“I’m not sure,” he felt his heart ache, pulling over off the road his hands were shaking nonstop.

“Why?” he asked, you could see the hurt in his eyes.

“You have a girlfriend and many to be exact,” she sighed unhappily.

“No I don’t,” he replied.

“What about Lena and her posse?” she asked.

“I broke up with her, the very day I dropped her off and I’m not with her posse either,” he shifted in his seat, turning to her. “So?”

“Well, let’s see if you’re deserving of me and the next time you ask I’ll give you an answer. Deal?” she said to him. He agreed.

While in the back Kassidy pretends to be sleeping on Tray’s shoulder. The both of them were eavesdropping as usual with Natalia knocked out in her lap. Getting home Zaylia said goodnight to her parents and went straight to bed, waking the next morning with the doorbell constantly ringing. She squeezed the pillow over and went back to sleep for five minutes.

“Honey, are you up?” her mom knocked and then entered.

“No,” Zaylia answered.

“Okay great you’re awake since you answered,” her mom replied. “There’s a Mrs.Parker's downstairs to see you.

“I don’t know Mrs. Parkers,” she replied, still not getting up.

Her mom grabbed the blankets off of her and rolled her off the bed then left her room. Groaning in pain she got up and took a quick lukewarm shower. Getting dressed in some baggy shorts and marina she went downstairs to her visitor. She still didn’t know who it was, she didn’t know any America-latina.

“Good morning, I’m Elizabeth Parkers,” she said, giving Zaylia the regular nice to meet you handshake.

“Zaylia Anderson,” she replied, returning the handshake.

“I must say I’m a fan of your work. Would you mind coming by my son’s house? He's looking for someone to throw his baby gender reveal for him and I’d also love it if you can redecorate my son’s room,” she asked her.

“I’d have to check with my parents first, with today being Sunday they have strict rules,” she responded and called for her mom.

Getting the go ahead to go after she cleans her room and eats something. Zaylia retrieved her room and was finished in five minutes, it was only her bed to be spread. Fetching a warmer jacket she went back downstairs with her portfolio, vision board and knapsack with the other stuff she’s going to need. It was an hour drive, but it was more than worth it. It was three story black and white glass house; glass in the front up and downstairs while the back are made of walls. She requested Natalia and Kassidy but only Natalia could make it.

“You’d have to be filthy rich to afford a house like this. Are you sure this lady ain't a kidnapper?” Natalia asked. They could hire any expensive party planner or decorator.

“Let’s hope she’s not,” Zaylia screwed at her annoyed by her constant saying the lady is a kidnapper.

Natalia wasn’t born here, she only moved here in our second year of kindergarten. She was the youngest daughter of three, she had younger brothers, twins to be exact and two older sisters. She had dark brown brunette hair, hazel eyes and she was slim built, she was the goofiest one out of them, you’ll always see her smiling. She has been dating Kassidy’s brother Troy for almost three years now. She ensured both her best friend and her boyfriend got the right amount of time in order not to cause a wedge between them, she loves them both dearly.

After being introduced; determining their budget getting the venue they wanted, she wrote it down, checking the envelope they gave her with the gender of the baby and she decided the colour of the baby’s nursery. What Austin said to her last night was still lingering on her mind, she wanted to be with him but also didn’t want another heartbreak. She was confused.

“I’m going downstairs to grab a bottle of water, we’re finished here for now,” Zaylia said.

“We’ve finished planning out the layout for the room. Are you ready?” Zaylia asked Mrs.Parkers.

“Yes, I’m just waiting for my son and daughter-in-law to come with us,” she replied.

“Is either they’re very wealthy or they’re some big shot drug dealers. Look at this house, both our houses can fit into it twice,” Natalia whispered to Zaylia.

“I must say this house is huge,” Zayloa replied to her, staring at the huge landscape.

She had to be home in like three hours time, that makes her with two hours on her hand.

“This is my husband,” she said, introducing the girls.

Zaylia was on edge when she introduced her in a different way to her husband. It was even more creepy when her husband came around to give her a hug.

“So where is your son's room?” she asked.

“He’s cleaning the room. You can take a seat until he’s finished,” she replied.

Natalia kept looking through the window and around. She was pacing to and forth, she was very uneasy.

“Can you sit,” Zaylia said.

“I’m scared, suppose they’re real kidnappers looking for their next kidnap victim?” Natalia blurted out shaking. “Why are you so comfortable?”

“I’m not taking anything from them to drink and if they try any weird shit, God blessed me with two hands, feet and teeth,” she stated.

“Zaylia?” she heard a familiar sexy voice called her.

Turning her head she was surprised to see Austin coming from upstairs. She began to freak.

“Give me a second,” Austin said, then went into the kitchen.

“I’m a mess, he can’t see me like this,” Zaylia freaked even more.

“You’re okay babe or Is it the abs and the way he called your name why you freaking out?” Natalia asked.

“Both,” Zaylia pouts and dashed into the powder room to wash her face and put on her lip gloss.

Zaylia now realizes that the lady is Austin’s mother . Mrs. Parkers later returned and called the girls into the kitchen.

“Hey mamacita,” Austin said, kissing her on the cheek.

Smiling at him, she responded with a faint ‘hi’ she was super shy now being in front of Austin’s family. She screwed at Natalia who whispered ‘hey mamacita’ behind her.

“I see you know my son, that means you’re going to have less problem getting along,” Mrs Parkers said to her.

“Yes I see that she knows me,” Austin raised a brow at his mom.

“Okay Mrs.Parker,” Zaylia replied.

“You can call me Elizabeth,” Austin’s mother said to her.

“Oh she can, can’t she,” Austin laughed.

“I’ll be right behind you,” Austin said to Zaylia who turned and left.

“So she’s the one he’s head over heels for,” his brother smiled at him.

“Really mom, you snitched,” he sighed.

“She didn’t have to, your face and eyes said everything,” his sister butted in.

“Whatever,” he rolled his eyes then left.
