Urza Aire-
'This fight is simply nothing but a huge waste of time,' I thought to myself petting Sin's cute little fox. When I noticed that the boys were ready. At that time, I shouted, "begin!"
Fekan dashed towards Sin brandishing his scimitar. However, Sin continued to idly stand, staring at the black-haired boy as he ran to him.
When Fekan slashed his blade horizontally at Sin. He quickly unsheathed his black cutlass and parried the incoming attack. After blocking it, Sin raised his sword above his head and vertically veered down at high speeds. Fekan was barely able to react, lifting his sword and placing the blade on his hand, managing to block the powerful attack. Still, the force was strong enough to create a small crater under Fekan's feet.
"Amazing…such strength." Delilah muttered as her copper eyes glistened like stars, allured by Skysin's attack.
Fekan fixed his posture and swung at Sin's ankles. But Sin rotated his weapon in a circular motion, easily parrying the incoming attack. As Fekan's arm forcefully retracted away from sheer strength, Sin extended his leg, front kicking Fekan's chest, casting him back a few feet onto the ground.
From the nonchalant expression on Sin's face, he didn't look entertained; in the slightest.
Next, Fekan constructed two giant earth pillars from the white stage, parallel from each other. When he swung his sword at the pillars, they fired multiple speeding disk-shaped projectiles at Sin.
Without a problem, Sin swiftly evaded the projectiles pivoting his foot, bobbing, weaving, and flipping over them.
"Hahahaha! Keep dodging, you'll get tired eventually dolly!" Fekan laughed hysterically as he continued bombarding projectiles at Sin. After side flipping over the last attack, Sin lowered his stance and grasped his weapon. When he swung vertically, a sharp wave of ice trailed off his blade and cleanly sliced through the pillar on his left.
Fekan flinched, "what the- "behind you." Sin spoke calmly, appearing behind Fekan at such a phenomenal speed.
'How did he get over to him so fast?? I didn't sense any vital when he moved.' My thoughts began to run rapidly, bewildered by his innate speed. I could even discern the class behind, whispering to each other about Sin's movement.
At the same time, Fekan sent a compound of attacks while Sin resumed circumventing all of them flawlessly. On the last strike, Fekan thrusted his sword aiming at Sin's chest. Skysin dropped himself to the ground and swept his foot across Fekan's ankle.
When Fekan flew in air, Sin leapt to him and executed a round house kick on his chest, punting him out of stage.
Just as Fekan was about to hit the ground. Sin created a purple portal directly in front of me, teleporting Fekan into the air above Sin.
All at once, Sin blurred leaping over Fekan. When he placed his arm on Fekan's chest. Fekan javelined multiple earth spears from the ground, shooting at Sin in air.
Yet, Sin released a powerful blast of cold ice, smashing Fekan into the ground and cancelling his attack. Creating a large crater, along with him knocked unconscious.
When Sin landed quietly on the ground, not making a single noise. "The match has been decided, Skysin is the winner." I announced sitting Tenko down.
'He's really out cold,' I thought to myself gazing at Fekan laid out in the crater. "Well then, I guess he was able to test my strength." Sin shrugged his shoulders and conjured a small ice pillar under Fekan, smacking him out of the large hole.
After he was out, I sat my hand on the ground and let my aura flow out of me. When I did this, I could feel all the earth gems power up. At that time, the entire stage had altered, returning to normal.
"Woah how'd you do that?" Sin asked as his violet eyes brightened with interest.
"The stage has earth gems embedded inside, so if a person like me can't use earth kinetics to rebuild the stage. I can use the earth gems inside the stage to fix it. Gems are also the reason why barriers appear all over the city and school. So, when we're in our school uniforms, the fragmented gems sense our auras or kinetics and sends a signal to the millions of others under the ground to create barriers. It's pretty interesting how our researchers innovated this." I pulled out a small blue pill and placed it in Fekan's mouth after I explained.
"So that's why the barriers show up? Makes a lot of since when you explain it like that Urza." Sin added looking over the now perfectly built stage.
"Is he going to be ok? Looks like Sin did a number to him." Delilah asked eyeing the unconscious boy.
"Yes, he'll be fine, I gave him a supplement, so his body will heal…but he'll still be unconscious for a good remainder of the day." I informed her watching Fekan's wounds heal rapidly fast.
"Skysin how did you move so fast? Was it teleportation?" Delilah excitedly asked Skysin moving closer to him.
"Nope, no teleportation, my mom said my speed is…'off'. To be honest…I forgot how fast I can run." Sin admitted scratching his chin.
'I can see why his mother would say 'off', he's faster than most people I've ever fought against, and he's only twelve.' I thought to myself, recalling when my eyes couldn't trace him for a split second. 'But it's not just his speed, but his strength is also quite formidable. I was informed that he has deity blood in his veins. But I feel a different presence from him as well. Not just the Kitsune.' I conjectured myself studying him in interest.
Putting it aside for now, I then sent a signal to the medics inside that we needed them.
After they came and took Fekan, "hey Urza, I noticed you had another ring with a sword, what's that supposed to be?" Sin queried inspecting my finger.
"I'm the first ranked swordsman in this school." I answered while he kept his normal, nonchalant face. "Interesting, have you by chance heard of princess Cleonatra, she goes to Lapis Academy in Gremis?" Sin asked.
I nodded my head, "yes, apparently people say she rivals even the first ranked swordsmen in her school."
"Who do you think would win in a battle between the two of you? She's better with swords than me." Sin admitted.
I took a brief pause, "to be honest…I'm sure I'd win as of now, due to more experience, and stronger vital. But in a couple of years, I'm not too sure. Her ability to use any kind of sword or weapon would definitely put me at a disadvantage." I stated. Sin simply nodded, keeping a laid-back expression
After everything was settled, I informed the class to find partners and have a light spar against each other.
I looked around to see Delilah and Sin sparring against each other, while I held Tenko in my arms again. I rubbed his soft white fur, commencing my examination between the two.
The way Delilah fought was good, possible to rank around top fifty in swords of this school. Her moves were quick and precise, still being able to keep her form as she slashed at Sin. But Sin on the other hand… he fought like a seasoned warrior almost.
His footing allowed him to stand like a brick wall…yet flowed like water. Skysin's strikes brimmed with power and followed through every execution faultlessly. There was a noticeable difference in their strength and experience. But of course, it's to be expected when you're the son of a general and a powerful woman like lady Valentine.
I sat Tenko down and approached the two. "Delilah, would it be fine if I had a quick spar against Sin for a quick moment?" I politely asked.
Delilah pouted, "ok Professor." She drooped her head then backed away. At the same time, all the students in class ceased their sparing, and turned to me and Sin.
"I hope you don't mind sparring against your professor, Sin." I opened a pocket dimension and pulled out a diamond claymore.
"Hahaha, not at all. I've actually been wanting to see how strong you are, professor." Sin lowered his stance with a smile on his face.
In what seemed to be an instant, we lunged towards each other. As our swords collided, the force between the attack caused a blistering gust of wind to form, blowing around the entire stage.
I swung my claymore upwards as Sin moved to my left, dodging the attack. Then he brought his weapon around my side horizontally. I retracted my sword to my stomach, parrying the attack and thrusted the tip of my blade at his chest.
Sin pivoted his foot, rotating from the strike, then slashed up-and down while I parried his fierce attacks.
'Amazing, his control is fantastic.' I applauded in my head, ongoing with my evasions. He swept his sword diagonally, going for my legs. I moved back slightly, just enough for him to miss. Then dove forward, unleashing a blitz of quick virgules and thrusts. Sin began parrying my attacks head on, not missing a single one.
As our swords continued to clash, we slowly picked up pace, increasing our speed, faster than the student's eyes could keep up with. Shockwaves from the attacks were causing deep gashes to form all over the ground. When the battle was reaching its boiling point, the loud bells rung loudly throughout the entire coliseum, which our battle came to a halt.
Skysin Rillem-
After the bell rung, I noticed that Urza's claymore was under my chin, nearly grazing my neck.
"Ah, looks like I win."-She made her sword disappear into the pocket dimension- "just when the battle was starting to get exciting too…such a shame."
While the kids started to leave, Tenko and Delilah came over to me. Urza crossed her arms and shook her head, "I'd hate for you to be an enemy, even if I were to win…I don't think I'd get away without losing an arm or leg. You, Sin…are a deadly child, and only at the age of twelve." She admitted with a sigh.
I sat both my arms behind my head, "well aren't you technically a child too?" I questioned her lifting a brow.
Urza made a dull expression, slightly tilting her head. I noticed Delilah had an anxiousness on her face, poking her lips out. 'You're definitely screwed this time...' Tenko added slowly backing away.
"I'm sure your mother always told you to never ask about a woman's age? RIght Sin?" Urza started to approach me.
I could feel a tense pressure build up as cold sweat formed on my forehead. Urza lifted her slim arm and sat her soft hand on my head. "I'm sixteen, pretty boy. That's the age you're considered an adult."
With Urza closer to me, I couldn't help but gaze at her face and art of a figure, an extremely beautiful woman. Then her irresistible pink lips curled, making a playful smile.
"If I was four years younger, I might've had fallen for your charms and cute face…but I insist you get on to lunch before you miss it." Urza gracefully walked off as her long glacial hair bounced behind her.
'Such beauty…I'd definitely trade her for you...' Tenko chuckled in my head as we exited the stage with Delilah.
'Shut up fox, or you're not getting that bowl of beef.' I sneered, watching him hop off one stair to the other.
'I do apologize my good sir. This fox would happily like to receive…the beef. Please??' Tenko began hopping around me like a little rabbit while we walked through the hall towards the lobby.
*****
Later, Tenko and I ambled into the cafeteria. It was a vast room, filled with students. From freshman to seniors. Shiny wooden floors and walls. The ceiling flourished with yellowish gems that gleamed over the place. In front of me, tables and chairs were in twenty-five single file lines, having a child in each seat or walking around conversing with friends.
On my right, there was a buffet and staff handing out food to the students. As for the left, giant windows were placed, able to view the outside. Showing students sitting with friends at grey tables with white chairs, along with the broad field, and Vaim city in the background.
"Hey Sin!!" A girl's cute voice called out.
I glanced to my right again and seen Nirvana waving at me in a short line with Crim and Elaine. After I got in the line with them and grabbed some food from the buffet, plus a big bowl of beef strips for Tenko. We headed over to a white table with five grey chairs surrounding it.
While we ate and conversed, a freshman girl with long black hair and brown eyes who placed her arms behind her back, approached us. "Umm-excuse me, Skysin?"
I looked over my left, "hey, how can I help you?"
Everyone except Tenko, was looking at her while the fox chowed down his food.
"I-uhh- please accept this!" She brought her hands forward showing a cup filled with grape concentrate. "Oh, may I ask why?" I asked happily accepting the drink.
Although, I did notice that Elaine pouted, puffing her cheeks out while Nirvana and Crim giggled. "No reason…I-umm-just thought I'd give you this." She began twirling her hair as she blushed.
I made a winsome smile staring at the girl, "thank you." She bowed and returned to her table as her girlfriends all cheered her on.
"Looks like my little brother is already charming the girls without even saying a word." Nirvana made a devious smile prodding her index finger on my forehead.
"Hmph, she just want's attention." Elaine scoffed crossing her arms. "Uh oh-looks like someone's jealous." Crim chuckled.
"Oh no…Crim, I think the leg of the chair broke." Elaine said sarcastically waving her hand.
"Huh? What do you mea- Crim fell on his butt along with the chair that had a bent leg. Me and Nirvana laughed at Crim as he stood getting a new chair.
"Well, it's nice that schools going good for you two." Nirvana added wiping her mouth with a napkin.
"Hopefully the classes won't be as boring when we become sophomores." Elaine said patting Tenko's head. "Oh it'll get better, trust me." Crim claimed sitting down in a new chair.
Me and Elaine nodded our heads.
'Looks like you got someone else to catch up to.' Tenko added jumping onto my lap. 'Yeah, I'm sure Urza had to be holding back.' I replied patting his head.
I began having flashbacks of our heated spar in class. 'I wonder how long it'll be until I can surpass her?' I pondered.
But again, only time will tell....
