Job secured

V"Good morning mom" Myles greeted

"Good morning sweetheart, how was your night?" " it was fine mom, mom you were harsh on me yesterday and I didn't like it" Claire paused and looked at her son " well I was harsh on you because you were supposed to go to bed at that moment you were playing video games" "I was waiting for you, how can I go to bed when you didn't pick me from school and you stayed out late". Myles words hit Claire like a knife, she suddenly felt guilty, this job search had really made her lose time for her son " I'm sorry" "no need mom, I have already forgiven you" Myles said and hugged his mother "I love you mom" " I love you more son, okay enough of the hugging you don't want to keep Em waiting" "yes, bye mom" "bye take care of yourself in school" Claire admired her son he picked up his school bag and lunch pack.

Claire sat on the bed, thinking of her life, ever since when she was born till date she had one problem or the other. Nothing ever made her happy apart from her son Myles. Suddenly her phone beeped, she picked it up and she saw a message from MEBU

"Good day Miss Claire Hart, this is from the administration office

of MEBU, you have been employed into our organization and is

resume work on Monday as a secretary. Thanks"

Claire didn't know what to do, for a while she stood still like a pillar, tears began to flow down her eyes, she had only spent a week in America and she had already secured a good job. She was thankful to God for making her leave Asia

At noon, she left to her son's school, she wanted to surprise him

"Mom! you came to pick me today" Myles felt so happy "yes I did, I have a surprise for you" "what it mom?" "we are going to the park" " for real mom, I'm going to the park, play around with other kids and have fun" "yes darling, you gonna have some fun today" " mom, where are you going to get money to foot the bill" " no questions Myles except you don't want to go to the park" "alright mom" " and one more thing, ask Ray and Susan to join you" "yes mom"

After freshening up, Em, Ray, Susan,Claire and Myles went to the park for the celebration of Claire's new job. At their arrival the kids left to play while Em and Claire had a serious conversation

"Claire, you never told me how you had Myles"

"Hmmm, Myles, a soldier like his name implies, a son I brought into the world full of torture, I don't want to talk about it please"

"Really?"

"Yea, besides I came here to celebrate and not to remember what happened four years ago, what about you? I mean Susan and Ray"

"Oh, I'm legally married to their father, though not on love basis, it is on monetary, I needed money and he needed children, so we had an agreement that he has to marry me, I will have his children for him and he will cater for us, he doesn't live in America, he stays in South Africa"

"Wow, were you that desperate, why didn't you wait for true love?"

"Hahaha, you make me laugh Claire, you believe in true love, like real love"

"Yes, I do"

"Love is fictional my dear,it doesn't exist, these days people worship money, money rules the society, marriages are based on money and not love, there is no such thing as love"

"You don't know what you are saying Em, love do exist, I believe in true love"

"My dear wake up from your fairytale dream, the earlier the better"Em said snapping her fingers

The rest of the day was spent happily , the entire family rejoiced and was happy.
