Relationships

With what seemed like the natural end to their little arrangement Mallory took another deep sigh as she released the pepper spray from her grasp. Her eyes shifted once more towards the clock on her phone. To Mallory's shock only forty five minutes had passed despite it feeling like several hours. That simple fact meant she was stuck here for at least another hour contractually.

"So ... How do you want to utilize the rest of your time."

"Oh! Well then Mallory I had not realized the time. Honestly our little meeting has concluded and with that I have no further need of your services at the moment. Furthermore as far as I am concerned you have sufficiently earned the payment for the allotted time."

Those casual words that left Stella's lips caused Mallory to form a small seed of anger. Despite the degrading nature of her job she at least took some pride in it. Paying higher rates is one thing but at this point Stella was essentially just giving her money and this just didn't sit well. Mallory hated feeling indebted to someone so she mustered all of remaining social battery together into a smile as she shifted right back into her Lorelai personality.

"Miss Stella you have an hour at bare minimum remaining and I would not want to rob you of that service. How about we put in a bit of practice so our little secret remains hidden."

"I said that it is perfectly fine. There is no reason for us to engage in such things as I believe in your skills."

"Hmph!"

Lorelai said, pouting her lips as she got up and instead shifted her seat so she was sitting right next to Stella. Gently grasping Stella's hands within her own Lorelai pulled it a bit closer as she beam a gentle warm smile in Stella's direction.

"Miss Stella practice makes perfect so how about we at least take a walk to make sure our stories are aligned."

"Okays if we must Mallory."

"Oh! Who is this Mallory you speak of Miss Stella. My name is Lorelai."

A small shiver ran down Stella's spine as she looked at the sapphire eyes of 'Lorelai' as they muttered those words. With a bit of coercing Lorelai left the cafe as the gentle rays of the sun began to peak through the gray clouds above. The rest of the afternoon was spent in awkward conversation as the pair began to spin the elegant meet cute of the lovely couple of Lorelai and Stella. Armed with various minor trivia about each other and a well spun weave of lies the duo of Mallory and Stella headed off in their respective directions.

One short walk later the door to Mallory's apartment swung open as she wobbled in. Her hands flicking her heels off at the door before closing it tightly behind her. Making her way along the corridor her slender fingers already began to lose her outfit and peel away the wig.

"Hey hey sis! You seemed like you had a rough one." shouted a voice down the corridor

"It fucking sucked! Valerie, I need a hug!"

Before a reply could be mustered Valerie found the slender arms of her sister gently wrap around her shoulders from behind. With a smile Valerie leaned into the embrace as she nuzzled ehr cheek against her beloved sister.

"Thank you for working so hard." whispered Valerie

"Anything for you my lovely sis because ..."

"We will always be there for each other."

"Exactly!"

"Now you are going to spill those spicy details or am I gonna have to nag you about it some more."

Mallory threw her coat into a chair at the dining room table along with her various accessories and wig slowly made her way to the sofa before laying on her sister's lap as she retold the event of the day. Even as the words left her mouth a part of her didn't want to believe it because it seemed like something out of an Anime. However it was all true and now she had to pretend to be the girlfriend of one of the most influential person of her generation.

"Well sis that seems like a wild ride. Are you sure you are okay going through with this?" asked Valerie as she gently poked at her sister's cheek which was replied to with a small soft giggle smile.

"Honestly the money is good and I think that she had more to lose from this encounter than me. Also not to mention if things do go bad it may be more of a mutual destruction kinda thing."

"Why do you think so?"

"Well partially because it is all recorded here." says Mallory holding out her phone.

"Wait, you recorded everything?"

"Yep, partially because I was a little suspicious ahead of time. Also you probably have a copy in your email."

"You know sometimes you are so smart and cautious it is actually a bit scary"

"Hey, I am never scary especially towards you!'

"To me, yes but remember that time that poor girl tried to hit on you at the movie theater?"

"Which one?"

"The shy brunette that poked at you because she overheard our conversation about that romance book. Ummm … What was its name?"

"The Wilting Wonderland?"

"Right. You debated with her about all her conceptions about the book until the poor thing broke down into a sobbing mess in front of everyone."

"Wait, I did that?

"Yes and that wasn't the first time."

"Oh maybe I am a bad person"

"Just a tad bit but honestly that abrasive personality is what has kept us safe, alive and together these last three years."

"Awe! You're making me all blushy UwU Val!" Mallory playfully exclaimed as she left the comfort of her sister's lap.

"Okay Val I need to remove this makeup and take a shower"

"Alrighty Lory!"

Valerie's reply was met with a teasing tongue from Mallory as she headed off to the shower. The slender athletic but younger figure of Valerie slowly settled back into the sofa as she returned to the salad she was munching on before Mallory returned. Valerie's hazel eyes that is her most distinguishable feature from her sister shifts once more unto the Volleyball game that played on the television
