Cinders to Ashes

"Well Stella aren't you absolutely adorable."

A girl of platinum hair and ghostly blue eyes commented as she strutted up to Mallory and Stella. The gentle interlocking of fingers tightened as Mallory turned to face the approaching girl dressed in an elegant strapless black dress with silver linings. The crowd around the pair slowly began to disperse to give the trio some space.

"Thank you Cinder. You are ever so kind." replied Stella.

"Pleasure to meet you Cinder. My name is Mallory."

"Ah I see. Mallory is an absolute delight. So Stella, how long have Mallory been going out?"

"Oh several weeks now."

"Is that so? Surprised you manage to muster enough courage and confidence to showcase her."

"Well as you can tell she is a sweetie. I just fell rather hard."

"Hopefully not too hard as to leave any bruises I hope."

"I am perfectly fine and healthy."

"Well that is good news. Got to say that at the very least this harlot at least cleans up pretty well."

"You will not speak about her so Cinder." replied Stella.

Stella tone came across loud and clear to Cinder but all she did was offer a small smirk. Mallory upon hearing this back and forth was rather annoyed but decided to let the two of them talk it out considering that they seem to have a bit of history between them.

"Well hopefully this one doesn't leave the poor princess like a ragged doll in the street."

Mallory immediately replied, cutting over Stella to make sure she was heard.

"I will do no such thing!"

"Seems this bitch knows how to bark. Funny~"

"Cinder, I said stop." snapped Stella.

"Okay princess just for you."

With that note Cinder turned around to turn her leave but immediately turned back around. On her pivot back she slipped forward and the champagne filled glass split forward straight onto Mallory soaking her whole top.

"Oh I am so sorry. I am just a bit clumsy from drinking too much. Oh waiter, would you mind cleaning this mess up." Cinder said, snapping her fingers as she pointed at Mallory.

All eyes were on the pair and Mallory wanted to make sure that this brat would not be able to sit after the spanking she deserved but instead took a few deep breaths as she felt Stella's nails dig into her skin as she tried to hold her steady.

"Mallory come let's go get you cleaned up."

Without waiting for a response Stella guided Mallory to the elevators and up several floors to a private room. Mallory at this point was seething in anger as she stepped in the room. When she finally turned to face Stella expecting an answer she was instead met with that sulking look from their first meeting.

"Mallory I am sorry. I can get your things and you can change here. After than you can spend the night here or I can get the driver to get you home safely. I know it is late but I need to handle everything downstairs. I apologize once again for getting you in this mess."

"Stella what was that all about."

"Nothing for you to worry about."

With that Stella gently parted ways and left the room without any further words. Mallory just flopped into bed as her mind slowly began to run over the conversation with Cinder once, twice and thrice.

Her displeasure was clearly scribbled all over her face but there seemed to be more to this situation that she was not informed about. Eventually she just gave up as sitting here and mulling it over would do her no good plus this shirt was sticky and very gross.

Getting changed back into her normal attire that she left home in Mallory felt a billion times more comfortable. The hot shower helped a lot to calm the nerves. Part of her wanted to head on down to the event but between her thoughts and Stella's instructions she decided it wouldn't be the best idea.

The ride home was peaceful but as Mallory watched the scenery fly past by the gears of her mind began to spin with intention. Mallory had always been protected for those she cared about and she cared about Stella despite not willing to admit it out loud.

By dimming Stella's smile Cinder was on Mallory's shit list and as such she had no intention of letting tonight's interaction go unaddressed. As Mallory's marvelous mind began to weave together a plan a small smirk curled on her lips.

As she entered the apartment she just walked straight up to Valerie and give her a big hug. Despite her love for her sister Valerie looked on at her sister with surprise curiosity.

"So I am gonna assume tonight went well."

"It sure did my lovely sister."

"Lory you have something on your mind and I don't think I am gonna like it."

"Whatever do you mean?"

"Being mean is bad, Mallory."

"I am never mean, don't worry my sweet sister."

"Lory!"

After a small back and forth Valerie eventually managed to pry all the details out of the night from Mallory. The pair were both lost to their own private worlds after Mallory was finished with her tail. Valerie could tell that nothing good would come out of getting involved but she had grown to know her sister all too well and that look of determination in her eyes meant something.

"Mallory Instead of playing with a snake wouldn't it be better to check up and make sure your girlfriend is happy?"

"Stella?"

"Yes Stella you dork."

"Well we aren't officially dating or anything, it is just work."

"Lory you plotting against the girl who was mean to her."

"No no no. You got it all wrong. It is because she was mean to me."

"Sure~"

Eventually Mallory left her sister in peace as she sunk into her comfy den of a bed. Her eyes found their way to her phone screen in hopes of receiving a message from Stella but there was nothing to be found.

"Hai Stella, I hope the rest of the event went well. Please message me once you are settled into bed!" texted Mallory before sinking into the realm of dreams.
