The dining table was laid with the finest cutlery one would ever lay eyes on. The glasses were made from sparkling crystal and the food was of top quality. Such was the luxury that one of the wealthiest families of Kantor could afford.
Rose had been staying in Rickhorn Mansion for a while now but still could not get used to the extravagance.
Walking to her seat at the dining table one of the servants pulled the chair back for her to sit. She was the first to arrive for dinner she realized as she looked around the other empty seats.
Daisy, who had accompanied Rose, stood a few steps behind her. Soon, Sir Roy walked in and he seated himself on the opposite side of the table.
"Good evening, Lady Woods." he greeted. Rose noticed how he seemed to be looking in her direction but not at her. It then came to mind that Daisy was behind her and he might be looking at her.
With a small knowing smile that he failed to catch, she said,"It is indeed, Sir Roy."
