A great start. I like the characters so far, though the FL is a bit egotistic as Sam in the book also mentioned, when she said she's the CEO's daughter I was like holeeee up miss thing, you go around saying that to everyone? It did seem contradictory to her hard working defensive stance when she was talking to Nolan but I wasn't sure if she was being sarcastic or not. You're building a strong foundation to the story and I can't wait to see what else happens with Nolan who seems frustrating to have as a boss/kind of weird LOL all "I don't want you but I want you" sort of vibe. I wonder what's up with that and what his intention is behind this and his attitude at the interview. Great start, keep writing! Good luck on WPC!!!
Normally, I'm not a fan of this genre, but as I started reading your story, I was disappointed since it only had 5 chapters! I need more of this, author!!!! This novel has potential. I wish you luck in the competition.
