"Layla Aphelion's POV"
"*Yawn* Ugh... What time is it...?" I mumbled as I woke up on the couch greeted by piles of garbage scattered on the floor while the television's harsh light meets my sight.
"3 am...?" I glanced at the clock hanging on the wall.
"hmm... 5 more minutes I guess..." I mumbled as I yawned once more dropping myself back to the couch as I fall asleep drooling.
Time passed in a blink of an eye as I woke up once again.
"5 minutes of-" I announced when I suddenly glanced at the clock once more.
"Ah... as expected..." I said with paranoia with a face so expressionless.
As the arrow moved from inside of the clock I moved as swiftly as a racing car and went to the bathroom and cleaned myself with extreme haste.
"Why does it have to be like this every time it's the first day of school?!" I shouted as I ran with my pastel brown bag after dressing myself up with clothes that I forgot to iron yesterday.
I ran to the bus stop as I calculated the exact time I had left to reach school.
"10 minutes?! So... it takes 4 minutes to reach the bus stop. 5 minutes to reach school..." I felt doom closing in as I realized that I only had a minute left to reach the school.
It felt as if I was getting prepared for a science test and the Olympics as I sat on the bus calculating every second I have like a mad man.
"Okay!" I said to myself in my mind as my eyes felt like it was shining like a star.
As soon as the bus stop stopped I swiftly rose from my seat and left the bus as I accidentally trample on the other passengers trying to leave the bus.
I apologized as I started the engine on my feet and ran as swiftly as can be. Sweat, heavy breathing and stress could be seen all over my face as my thick glasses easily blocked the wind I was bursting through.
"10 seconds!" I said inside of my mind as I tied my blonde hair into a bun while running.
"Almost there...!" I said enthusiastically.
The bell rang as I reached the door of the school.
"MISSION SUCCESS!" I said to myself as I breathed heavily while my sweat engulfed me.
I sat on the vacant chair I picked as if tears were about to burst from my eyes. It felt as if I unlocked another achievement on a game.
"Quite a grand entrance I made there." I thought as I saw people staring at me. The classroom door suddenly opened and the teacher entered as he carried three books.
The class started as if everything was normal. I may not look like it but I'm pretty smart.
"Time to get my second achievement..!" I said in my mind.
"To get my second achievement I need to avoid any confession at all costs and to do that, I need make up!" I said inside of my mind as the teacher kept discussing.
"I may look like a nerd but I'm pretty good at cosmetics and what you see is not cosmetics." I said inside of my mind once again as I gave light to my I wore a bun and glasses.
As usual, everything went normal because of my perfect disguise. After school, I quickly returned home just like in the past years.
It felt like heaven was bestowed upon me when I finally took off my glasses and bun. To be precise I took my disguise off and changed into proper clothes instead of my messy attire.
I wore a jacket as I left home once again. I walked my way to the convenience store as the pitch-black sky with sprinkles of stars and fluff of clouds gazed at me from above, I yawned as I entered the convenience store.
I was tasked to buy quite a few things that my grandparents needed.
As I was walking around inside the convenience while looking at the list on my phone I bumped into someone.
A guy in a hoodie and jeans appeared before my eyes. His hair was pitch black like the sky and as yellow as the moon.
"S-sorry!" I apologized as I suddenly dropped the stuff I was supposed to buy in shock by mistake.
"U-uh it's okay!" He said as I crouched to pick up the stuff I dropped.
He also crouched and helped me in picking some of the items back. After the problem was solved, I apologized once more.
"Thank you." I said once more as his mind looked like it was wandering somewhere in the distance.
"Ah, it's okay, it's okay!" he replied worriedly.
Although I was still worried I had to be on my way. I went to the cashier, paid for the items and left.
