“What?” Preston stood on his chair as he heard Marx say something. Marx let out a sigh and nodded his head, “Sorry, boss. It was my fault …”
“You don’t have to take the blame on your head. I know the truth.”
“Mrs Collymore didn’t mean it. She might have wanted to … to help us …”
This was going the same again and again. They lose the deal this time and both of them knew who was at fault. Marx knew their relationship was not going ok so he thought of taking the blame on his head but his boss was an intelligent man. “Alright, you may go now.”
Marx bounced his head and as he left Preston heaved a sigh. True to say, he was not going to react, these past days| and months he gave no ear to whatever was happening even though he knew everything but today, he lost a big deal. This morning he saw Bellona in a good mood and even talking to him happily he could guess that she was thinking of something bad but he loved to spoil her.
Knock! Knock!
