Haggling while being hovered over by glowering paladin was an...“interesting” experience, to say the least. Visiting another apple stall, they managed to get the fruit for 30 silver as originally intended. He didn’t see her expression, but he imagined that Janesca looked amazed at the transaction. Like he was a wizard who knew the elusive language of commerce and negotiation. He didn’t even understand the conversion rates, he just let them set the starting price and talked down from there. All while exuding a confidence that he desperately hoped no one saw through. 


But it worked. He chocked it up to his appearance, but people were willing to give him a fair cut more often than not. For those who don’t, he merely gestured to the woman behind him as to why they shouldn’t be so hasty.
