Aki and Aizawa continued their chatter and discussed what they have been doing lately. Soon the other students arrived and were chattering. Seeing everyone, the two stopped their conversation and stood there silently looking at the students walking towards them. With all the students now on the field Aizawa started to explain what they will be doing. "Like I was said in the classroom you will be doing a quirk assessment test." Before he could continue, Uraraka cut him off, "What about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?" Uraraka said concerned but Aizawa tiredly said, "If you are going to become a hero, you don't have time for such leisurely events." Everyone was shocked and looked a step back at his cold words. Looking back, he continued "U.A.'s selling point is how unrestricting its school traditions are. That's also how the teachers run their classes."
"Gero, on the entrance exam you scored on the top, right? In junior high, what was the best result for the softball throw?"
"344 Meters." Aki answered without hesitation.
"Then, try it with your quirk." Throwing a ball towards Aki she caught it quite easily. Aki then walked towards one of the circles. "You can do anything you want as long as you stay in that circle." Nodding Aki put on a smile. Circulating her Ki, she energized her body. Getting into a throwing position. Tensing up her muscles and swung her arm back then forward propelling the ball into space. A loud boom followed the ball blowing dust behind its wake. "And that's how you break the sound barrier." Aki said looking at the class with a smile tilting her head with a finger pointing up. Taking out a device he looked at it and was surprised. Showing the class, the device, it showed a symbol representing infinity. Everyone was speechless, they had never thought someone would just openly break the sound barrier like it was nothing. "I-Infinity?" "H-how is that possible?" "A-amazing!" "So cool." "That looks fun!" Everyone started to get hyped at this revelation about using their quirks.
" "That looks fun", huh?" " Aizawa muttered but everyone still heard him. Aki's smile just got a bit bigger before it could get into a sadistic grin, Aki covered her mouth. "You have three years to become a hero. Will you have an attitude like that the whole time?" Giving a smile Aizawa continued. "All right. Whoever comes in last place in all the eight tests will be judged to have no potential and will be punished with expulsion."
"Huh?!" Everyone in Class 1-A exclaimed.
"We're free to do what we want about the circumstances of our students. Welcome to U.A. 's Hero Course!" Aizawa exclaimed towards the students. "Last place will be expelled? But it's the first day of school. No, even if it wasn't the first day of school, this is way too unfair!" Uraraka pleaded but Aizawa retorted. "Natural disasters, big accidents, and selfish villains. Calamites whose time and place can't be predicted. Japan is covered with unfairness. Heroes are the ones who reverse these situations. If you want to go and talk with your friends at Mickey D's after school, too bad. For the next three years, U.A will do all it can to give you one hardship after another. Go beyond. Plus ultra. Overcome it with all you got."
Hearing their sensei's words they started to get pumped up.
"All right, Demonstrations over. The real thing begins now. " Aizawa said, signaling the test will truly begin now. The first test was the 50-meter dash.
Everyone moved to where they were instructed. A large rectangular area with two sides for two participants that was 50 meters and a robot that had a camera and an electronic voice stood at the end. It was meant to record the results of the students. Aki would have to wait a couple of turns before she was allowed to go but this gave her time to adjust her speed so the machine could actually capture her time. If she wanted, she could either teleport or just run as fast as light. Both were optimal options, but she decided against it. Deep in her thought she was pulled out by the call of her name. Aki decided to get 3 seconds flat. Getting in position the robot counted down. The person next to Aki was Momo. But Aki didn't care as when she heard the start she blitzed for the end. "1.0 Seconds" the robot announced. Momo arrived a couple of seconds later at Aki. But once again everyone was shocked at Aki's performance.
Everyone was almost jealous how she could just breeze through everything like it was nothing. The one who was jealous the most was Izuku. But he was also intrigued on how her quirk actually worked. He also started to mumble incomprehensible things to himself, but Aki understood it since her research of quirk and the fact that it was about herself. But his jealousy wasn't big since he was the #1 hero's quirk. That gave him confidence.
Everyone finished their 50 meters and the next test was grip strength.
Everyone tried their hardest to get a high score but all of them were quite low. The heist was beside Aki was Mezo Shoji who scored 540 kg and Aki breaking the grip strength machine. This somewhat shocked Aizawa since these grip strength machines could do 5 tons. Izuki was just heartbroken at this sight.
The next test was the standing long jump. Aki flew over it and reached the side.
Repeated side steps. Since Mineta isn't here, Aki got first place. She was like Sitama doing his serious sidestep move.
Ball throw. Uraraka also got infinity. With her Zero Gravity quirk it was pretty easy for her to do so since the ball would float into space there for an infinite distance. Aki could have done the same thing by using her Space Manipulation and making the space of the ball be weightless. Or by using matter manipulation and changing the density of the ball to float like a balloon. Aki looked at a peak towards Izuku and he was shaking in fear. He didn't score well at any of the tests, and he would surely be at the bottom and get expelled.
Izuku walked up to the circle with a ball in hand. Looking at the ball in his hand he was in deep thought just like any Shonen protagonists. Iida became worried for Izuku but then Bakugo made a comment about him being quirkless. But Iida remembered what happened during the entrance exam and questioned Bakugo if he knew what Izuku did. In desperation Izuku brought back his arm getting ready to throw. Aki sensed the spike in power and decided to peer into his body. There she saw something that disgusted her. It was so rampant and out of control it would just decimate his arm to the point he may never be able to use it ever again.
Aki turned to Aizawa to see what he would do. With Izuku getting ready to destroy his arm he closed his eyes and opened them. His once black eyes turned red and his long hair that flowed down his face spiked up. Izuku threw the ball, but his quirk was instantly erased by Aizawa making his ball throw 46 meters. Izuku was devastated. "I was definitely just trying to use it just now…" he mumbled, terrified.
"I erased your quirk." Aizawa said with his red eyes, spiked hair and his scarf flying around him. Izuku instantly turned to his teacher. "The entrance exam was definitely not rational enough. Even a kid like you was accepted." Aizawa said coldly at Izuku.
"You erased my quirk?" Suddenly in realization Izuku remembered something. "The Erasure Hero: Eraser Head!" Izuku said in surprise. The students started to mumble with themselves about Aizawa. Aki then looked at the building as she sensed a familiar energy signature. It was All Might. But she ignored it the next instant.
"From what I can tell, you can't control your quirk, can you?" He looked at Izuku, squinting his eyes a bit then continued. "Do you intend to become incapacitated again and have someone save you?"
"Th-That's not my intention--" Izuku tried to retort but Aizawa wrapped his scarf around Izuku and pulled him in front of himself. "I'm saying that's what those around you will be forced to do. In the past, there was an oppressively passionate hero who saved over a thousand people by himself and created a legend. Even if you have the same reckless valor, you'll just be decked and turned into a useless doll after saving one person. Midoriya Izuku. With your power, you can't become a hero." Aizawa said plainly, looking straight at Izuku without remorse. Clenching his fist Izuku became angry with himself and the words Aizawa said to him. Closing his eyes and calming his scarf, Aizawa spoke again. "I've returned your quirk. You have two turns for the ball throw. Hurry up and get it over with." Aizawa then walked away.
Everyone started mumbling on what Aizawa said to Izuku, but they could only guess. All eyes were now on Izuku. They waited for him to throw the ball. Gritting his teeth, Izuku gripped the ball, cocking his arm back and launching the ball forward. Before it could fully leave his grasp, he used his quirk One for All on his finger, launching the ball into the air with an explosive power. Now with his broken finger he called his teacher. "Sensei… I can still move." Clenching his fist, he announced. This made Aizawa smile. "This Kid…"
