An empty day.

"Let's see...A'zen means Home." Lanius explained to Ahri.

The vesani nodded. When they woke up and met with the others, Akali, who had gone to the Buhru temple to find Illaoi, told them that she was somewhere and would return in the afternoon. With this, they had the whole day empty, and so the two sat in their room. Ahri asked Lanius to teach her more of the Verhean dialect. She currently sat on her bed with her legs crossed, and Lanius sat next to her.

"Kela means fire, but when you want to use it in a sentence, you say kelea. For example, <> means <>".

"The Verhean dialect is pretty complicated." she exclaimed as she rubbed her temples.

"Not all of them. For example..."heffa" means tail." Lanius stroke one of her tails his right index once. Ahri slighty shook and let out a squeak as she was caught off guard by the sudden move.

"I told you to not touch it without telling me!" she said, jokingly doing that she was angry. Lanius chuckled and so did she.

"I know. Let's carry on...sova mean ear and dumu means fox...so sove do dumu means fox ears." Lanius looked at her ears for a few seconds and then placed his hands on his head, right in the position that Ahri's ears were. He then created a set of fox ears from ice on his head.

"Nice..." the vesani's eyes widened. They were the exact shape like hers, only slightly bigger.

"I'm not done yet, get up for a second and merge your tails." he asked her.

Ahri did so and Lanius observed the white tail for a few seconds. He then formed a replica made out of ice on his back. "Ta da...now I'm a vesani as well." he said with a smile.

"You look...goofy..." Ahri said, trying to hold her laughter.

Lanius let out a small growl and took them off. "Oh well...you can't look good in everything." he shrugged and sat back down.

Ahri yawned and lied on her bed. "I guess I'll sleep for a bit."

Lanius gently stroke her hair as she closed her eyes. "Need some help?"

Ahri chuckled "Nah, I can sleep myself. You've been putting me to bed ever since we settled in the first Inn. I can sleep by myself."

"Tho you liked it." he pointed out.

Ahri opened her eyes and looked at him. "I still do, I just don't need you to sing this time." she was serious.

Lanius got confused. "OK..."

"Hundred ninety-eight...hundred ninety-nine...two hundred!" Akali shouted.

Sett let out a small growl and pushed down...then up. Kayn huffed and did the same. Sweat dripped from their foreheads as they got up. To pass time, the trio decided to have a contest between Sett and Jay, with Akali being the referee. Both men now did one pushup after the other. Kayn's hands suddenly began to shake...and have up as he fell down with another huff.

Sett cheered and got up.

"That's what I'm talking about!" he roared, pounding his bare chest. It was still slightly bruised, with the bruises now turning yellow.

"Aw man, how the hell do you manage to do that?" Kayn asked as he got up.

"I'm sturdy as a rock." Sett said. Kayn tossed him a pouch full of coins. He grabbed it with one hand and shoved it in his pocket. "Ay Akali ,wanna also have a contest?"

"Nah, you and Kayn are fine right now." Akali turned the invitation down. "But, I want to see how much you can do in a row..." she said and approached them.

"We already did that." Kayn complained.

"Tsk, If she wants more, she'll see more." Sett dropped down again.

"One condition, sturdy guy. You'll have some weight." Akali stopped next to him.

"That's all? Pfft...no problem!" Sett looked hyped. "How much?" he then started, eager to start.

"Exactly sixty-five kilos worth of Akali." the Rogue Assassin said and sat on his back with her legs crossed. Sett was caught off guard and almost fell.

"Uh-uh, big guy...if I fall, you lose automatically." she said with a smirk.

Sett growled. "How much...must I do?" he asked.

"Three hundred..." Kayn said, also smirking.

"If I lose?" Sett asked.

"Nothing, same if you win." Akali explained.

A wide grin formed in the Beast-Man Bastards face as he dropped down, then got back up. "Three hundred push ups? And with this hot chick on my back? Easy!" he though.

Ahri opened her eyes. The bed in front of her was empty.

"Lanius?" she called out for the Winter. She got no answer.

Ahri raised her head and around the room. The room was empty. Where did Lanius go?

She got up and looked around more expensively. Her attention turned towards the window on the roof, that was open. Ahri moved towards it.

"Lanius?" she asked as she moved towards it.

The young man's upper body then emerged from the glass trapdoor, startling the vesani, who jumped back and summoned her orb with a yelp.

"Oh, sorry if I scared you." Lanius said with a smile as he looked at her. Ahri then historically laughed as he stood there, dangling like this from the window.

"Why are you up even there?" she asked when she finally calmed down.

"Well,I wanted to see the sky. Want to join me?" Lanius replied.

He then disappeared and his bandaged right hand appeared. Ahri approached the window and grabbed his hand. She then got lifted up and passed through the glass trapdoor, climbing on the roof.

Ahri looked around her. The sky was bright orange, indicating that it was afternoon. Lanius was sitting down on the planks with his legs crossed. He was currently facing the sea, looking directly at something. The orange sky painted his skin and hair with a bright peach shade. Ahri approached him and sat down next to him, then looked towards the way he was facing. A thic black wall engulfed the horizon.

"Is everything all right?" the vesani asked.

"Mhm." the young man nodded, tho uncertainty was depicted in his face.

Ahri placed a hand on his shoulder. The young man turned towards her. "Don't worry, we'll find the answers you're looking for." Ahri assured him.

"Even if we don't, I don't worry, there's a plethora of memories I can access." he said with a smile.

Something on the Winter's lap, causing her to turn around. It was an old book, written in Verhean. "What is this?" she asked full of curiosity.

"That? An old book my uncle had in the underground library he had. It took it when we went in Kulhua." he said as closed the book and she was finally able to read the yellow leather cover.

"Ves'ainh?" she read out loud.

"Ves'ainh translates to Vesani in the dialect. My uncle and the previous Winters documented the Vesani...I currently don't know why." Lanius explained.

Ahri's eyes widened. Lanius was actually putting effort into learning about her tribe. He cared about her.

Ahri rested her head on his shoulder. "Gee, Lanius...you're such a good friend."

The young man chuckled and gave her a quick kiss on the top of her head. "Come on foxy, we gotta go to the Bhuru temple."
