"Neat...and shiny. Looks way better than mine." Ahri inspected the relic kama in her hands.
"Well, make sure you keep it safe." Ahri warned her. "Otherwise I'll give it to the Sentinels. At least with you it will have a use."
"Nah, I got you." Akali continued to spin the Relic Kama. "By the way, can this thing also teleport us like yours?" she asked the Rookie.
The Rookie chuckled. "I'm afraid that it cannot. My weapon is a special one. It's called a Wayfinder. Not everyone has one and each Wayfinder chooses who it wants to weild it." he explained.
"Sentinels are so...interesting." Farru exclaimed.

.
Ahri looked back at the book they found in the Sentinel's monument. She opened in the first page and began reading'
"Year 518 after the foundry of Noxus:
I was the very first Vesani to join the Sentinels of Light after the Mad King destroyed my home. The fact that I was away in my ancestors lands is nothing more than a miracle. Perhaps the Lamb and Wolf have other plans for me. I lost my previous home but I found a new one. The Sentinels trust me, despite my predatory nature."
It was written in an ancient Ionian dialect, making it a bit hard to read. Ahri continued.
"Year 519 after the foundry of Noxus:
I've been with the Sentinels for almost a year now. During said year I've roamed Valoran and Ionia, as well as the Isles to defend them from the mist. Along with that, I was searching for any vesani. I've currently found none."
"Year 530 after the foundry of Noxus:
I feel like I should keep on updating this more frequently. Still in search of Vesani, still none. Sentinels come and go. I feel like I should add some information about myself for the future generations. My name is Mesfin, I'm five hundred years old so far. I didn't grow up with my parents, and instead was raised by two Kepthalla hunters."
Ahri continued to read about Mesfin's life. Some pages talked about his life, some about the Sentinels.
" Year 342 after the foundry of Noxus:
It's quite a pain for me to have to rely on other people's life force to sustain myself aside from food. The good part is that I'm careful to not kill them or remove their memories."
She then stumbled upon another page.
"Year 570 after the foundry of Noxus:
I've finally found another one! I found her in Ixtal. She was almost feral, walking on fours and living in the jungle all by herself, dressed with simple cropped clothing out of animal skins. I happened to pass through the jungle to speak to a Sentinel that lived in Demacia. She was drinking from a river. I was hooded and my tails were merged, so she must have mistaken me for a human, because once she saw me, she let out a territorial growl and jumped on a tree, then from that to another till she disappeared from my sight. I won't stop now, not until I get more info."
The next page continued the previous log.
"I searched for her through the whole jungle yesterday and the day before yesterday. I found her today. This time I wasn't hooded. She growled to me again but stopped as soon as I opened my tails. We locked eyes for a few seconds and stood there in silence. She then opened hers like a peacock's tail and approached me, slowly but did approach me and stopped inches away from my face. I tried to speak to her. She seems to understand me, but she can't speak. She just mimics me. She's currently sleeping on a tree above me, so I guess that she trusts me to an extent."
Ahri turned to the next page, eager to see what happened after that.
"Year 571 after the foundry of Noxus:
It has been half a year since I've lived with the other vesani. I keep on thinking that I should update this more frequently, but oh well...you can't fight wraiths, civilise the possibly last of your tribe and keep a log all at the same time. I taught her how to speak, read and behave like a human. She learns fast because she also takes memories from humans. The good thing is that I have taught her how to take their essence without killing them. She named herself Viom, meaning "Wild Magic" in vastayan. She currently travels with me, not as a Sentinel, but as a companion. We search for other vesani together."
Ahri once again turned to the next page. She hoped that Mesfin and Viom found more vesani.
"Year 580 after the foundry of Noxus:
Still no sign of any other vesani, tho the Winter was interested in learning about us. He currently lives in Shon-Xan of Ionia, so we went there. I told him everything I knew and he recorded them. He vowed that he'd keep the records safe, in case any vesani lived. Viom and I are officially married now. She looks happy, and so am I."
"Year 600 after the foundry of Noxus:
Viom and I keep on fighting lately. She doesn't want me to go to the vault in the Shadow Isles again. I keep on telling her that I'll be fine, but she refuses to believe that. Maybe I should indeed stop for a while."
"Year 620 after the foundry of Noxus:
Viom and I are going to have a child. We thought and decided that the world cannot live without vesani. Oh well..."
Ahri turned to the next page, and her heart suddenly skipped a beat.
"Year 621 after the foundry of Noxus:
Everything went downhill. I'm currently wounded and stuck in the Isles, surrounded by wraiths and dead Sentinels. That centaur looking wraith is certainly a champion. He did a good number on us. Viom, if you're reading this, I just want to let you know that there is still hope for us. Keep our child safe. Do not let her follow our mistakes, do not..."
The following point was striked through many times and had drops of blood. The log continued to the next page.
"If it's bad for the living to badmouth the dead, then I think that it's not better for the dead to badmouth the living. Just know that I still think that most humans are the names that they used to call you back in Ixtal. Tomorrow morning is my last stand against the dead. The Light will die in the Isles. I hope that these two kama that I have will serve others for the greater good."
Ahri frantically flipped to the next page. The handwriting was different, indicating that it was written by another person.
"It has been about three months after Mesfin's passing. I couldn't recover his body. All I could do was put his tapestry and belongings to the hidden room. As for our child, she'll join me soon. I'll take her to Shon-Xan, she'll be safe there. I hope that one day, she will come back to our ancestors lands and find the truth. Deep inside me, I hope that more of us are alive. Maybe our little Auhrei will grow up like Mesfin, and not like me."
