Farewell, Bilgewater. {End of Volume 2: Bilgewater and Shadow Isles.}

"Winter, you do realise the mistake you've made?" Illaoi sounded calm, but the young man knew that she would punch him in every opportunity that he gave her, so he chose his words carefully.

"I do know that, but I can reassure you that the Ruined King no longer wishes to destroy the world..." at that moment, he took a step back, noticing the giant sphere she was holding. "...but to rather get his revenge against a few people."

Illaoi closed her eyes and sighed. "Do not give me a reason to regret trusting you...simply do not!" she warned him.

"I shall not..." he replied.

"Anyway. I wish you a safe passage to Targon. Is there anything that you'd want?" she asked.

At that point, Xayah came and stood next to the young man. "Where can I get one of those delightful chthonic god-clutch purses? Does it come in purple? The god, not the bag."she asked.

Illaoi sighed and avoided Xayah's question. "Anything else?" she asked.

"I don't think so..." Lanius pointed out after giving a small shove at the Lhotlan's side with his elbow, not enough to hurt her, but to just shut her up.

Illaoi turned around and walked off.

"What was that?" the Lhotlan said through her teeth, pinning her yellow eyes at him.

Lanius turned to the Rebel and muttered "You wouldn't want to meet the Nagakabouros. I was lucky to be in water." he joked.

Xayah laughed and they both boarded the ship, where everyone aside from Sett was waiting.

"Hey, where's Sett?" Akali asked.

"He'll return to Ionia. I paid him beforehand to escort us to Bilgewater and the Isles, but not for beyond that." Lanius replied as they got ready to sail. They were about to start, wgen they saw him rush towards them.

"Oi, wait for me!" Sett jumped on the boat.

"You're coming?" the young man asked the Beast-Man.

"I am. You're going to Targon, right?" Sett asked.

The Winter nodded. "Well, if it's true about what they say, I want to find some answers. Plus, the business is in Adessy's hands, safe hands." Sett explained.

"Well...good to have you on board, then." Xayah replied and went to help Rakan.

Lanius looked around the deck. His eyes then landed upon Kayn. "Kayn, you know how to steer a boat?" he asked.

"Yeah. I learned the basics when we travelled from Noxus to Ionia." he replied.

"Very well then. Mr.Sheida, take the wheel!" Lanius yelled.

"Aye, aye captain!" Kayn joked and headed to the wheel.

The ship began to sale and leave Bilgewater behind.

Ahri went to the back of the deck and looked towards Bilgewater. Pyke was sitting on top of some barrels and looked towards the ship. Ahri waved at him, hoping that he'd see her from that direction.

The Ripper seemed to notice her, because he waved back before he got up from the barrels and dove in the sea.

The vesani then turned towards the Shadow Isles. The thick black mist that covered them had now reverted a bit, leaving the shores uncovered. She would likely return back to the vault again sometime.

Ahri's eyes widened as she looked at the shore. For a split second, she thought that she saw two figures that resembled vastaya. One was even wearing a Sentinel suit.

She stared more, when Lanius suddenly came next to her and held her hand, interlocking the fingers. "Is something wrong, Foxy?" he asked her.

Ahri turned her head towards him. "Do you see those two figures at the shore?"

Lanius looked towards the way she instructed him to look. He frowned, trying to see something. "I don't see anything...are you sure?"

Ahri looked back. Nothing was there. "I'm definitely sure, two people were there."

Lanius chuckled. "Gee, my little fox went mad from the Mad King!" he joked.

Ahri's ears flopped back. "I definitely saw them! One even looked like Mesfin!"

"Mesfin? To be honest, he did die there...so it's possible that he became a wraith." then paused. "But then, who would the other wraith be?"

Ahri remained idle for a few seconds, thinking. She then turned back to the Winter and gave him a hug. "Who cares honestly? They lived their lives, time for us to live them too."

Lanius chuckled and picked her up. Ahri chuckled as well as she got picked up. She wrapped her arms around the young man's neck to support herself, despite knowing that he could hold her with ease.

"You're right. And to be precise, mine started a week ago." Lanius said and gave her a quick kiss. Ahri responded to it. His breath tasted like cherry. Then two sat there in silence, when a familiar voice interrupted them.

"Lanius, can you be a bit more...discreet?" Kayn asked.

The vesani's and the Winter's eyes darted open. He placed her down and they pulled away from each other as they both realised that everyone was staring at them.

"We understand that you probably hadn't seen a male in years, Ahri, but for our sake...even I don't do that with Rakan." Xayah joked, making Ahri turn red.

Rakan bursted out laughing, followed by Lanius and Akali. Soon everyone began laughing, dragging Ahri in it too.

"Ok...next stop, Mount Targon, let's go." Lanius said as everyone calmed down.

The Ruined King looked at the ship in the horizon, centered in front of the rising sun. He leaned against his broken blade and looked at his right hand. It held the open music box, that still played the melancholic song it always did. The Ruined King sighed.

"Still thinking about her? Lame..." the Gloomist stopped next to him and looked at the ship.

It was a yordle with pale skin, purple eyes, light turqoise hair, and a black nose and mouth. She wore a big purple and black sweater and had a gold emblem of the Shadow Isles Crest on her chest.

"Learn that I'm over it, Small Fry. And this is my proof." Viego threw the music box into the sea, severing everything from his past and turned around.

"Now what? More lame stuff?" The Gloomist asked.

Viego crouched down next to the yordle and smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Now...let's go wreck havoc. I have a few people to...visit." Viego pointed at the yordle.

"You...are going to help me achieve my revenge."

"Tsk, whatever, hope it's worth it." The Gloomist yawned and turned around.

"Oh...it is worth it, I assure you." Viego exclaimed and dropped his hand. He then got up and supported the blade on his shoulder. He then walked off into the mist with a smirk. "The Ruined King is back. No matter how many times they try to stop me...I'll always be back. And this time, the Ruination won't end. I'll settle a few scores...and then we'll see."
