010 The Hunt Begins

There was no one in the world that was not in shock after the bomb that Chronos dropped.

The tech giant which managed Sword Of Sacrifice Content along with other ventures, released their latest update and addition to the game.

It was a new episode bringing in additional story and gameplay in the latest chapter which they titled-

'Legacy Of The Forgotten Legends'

Alongside this also came the emotional story that was presented to Illio and nine others who initially received the legendary classes.

For the first time the world truly witnessed the dark history of Luna along with the many curses it suffered and monsters which inhabited the land in the beginning.

Then came The Great Evil which claimed all life. This was followed by the 10 legends who not only cleansed the land of Luna but also left their myths behind after sealing away the Incarnation of Evil.

This excited many players for a number of reasons.

The opportunity to obtain a legendary class no matter how slim was now present. It meant that everyone who had any amount of sense would covet it.

The power, abilities, and stats differed greatly from class to class. Which meant that the higher ones class, the more powerful and more potential that individual could have.

Currently the ranking of classes fell as follows:

Common

Great

Singular

Exquisite

Now with the latest addition, legendary was the highest ranked class that could be obtained. To make things even 'spicier' there were only 10 of those fabled legendary classes.

The competition to get that power would be greater than the first ever SOS World Championship. Especially now because for the first time in five years since it's release, users would have an opportunity to claim a different class and ranking.

At the start of the game, you roll for your class and you're stuck with whatever ranking and class luck hands you. It's up to the individual to make the best of it.

Sure on rare occasion users may find hidden quests that upgraded their class rank or changed it to a better one all together but the chances of that happening were less than the chances of fighting for one of these ten legendary classes.

Thus this announcement was a game changer.

Many users were filled with hope and excitement with this news alone, however many others were more realistic and looked forward to the opportunity to make great contributions to the worldview in Luna.

By impacting the world greatly in this latest episode, their names would be written down in this History as Heroes greater than legends past.

The reward for such accomplishments would affect them in reality as well as in SOS. They would never again want for anything.

Regardless of the intention, everyone was ready for the long awaited release of new content. After the World Championship battle where Alexander not only came out on top but continued to show why he was the supreme player, everyone was hungry for the next big story and here it was.

"We gladly close our eyes in hopes that future generations can open theirs."

Their final words, Long forgotten by humanity, but not by their enemy.

Luna cries out to her fallen champions. She shamelessly asks that her heroes stop their well deserved rest and rise to protect the world as they did long ago.

Their myths are needed once more.

The online chat rooms were lit ablaze with all manner of comments over the coming episode and what it was bringing to SOS.

-New Content! Let's Go!!!!!!

-Does this confirm Legendary Classes?! Will players be able to get this rank?

-Looks like you have to hunt it down. There are only 10 available and all are currently taken.

-What in the world was Chronos thinking!!!!! Only 10 classes and a 50% buff to mobs, now the game is going to be impossible!

-Bro Just get good!

There were so many opinions based off of the recent announcement and so in order to avoid any sort of discord for the public and to maximize the enjoyment, Creator and Director of Sword Of Sacrifice Zio DeLeon, released a video statement to further confirm and inform about the content.

"Hello everyone. As you may know we just released new content. It's been a long time in the making and I hope you get an opportunity to enjoy some of the most drastic, difficult, and intense story we have released to date. To confirm just a few things, yes there are only 10 legendary classes. Each a unique power in its own right which deserves to be coveted. Gaining them will be an impossible challenge and keeping them permanently, an even more ridiculous task."

Suddenly a map of Luna was pulled up on the screen in the office as Zio continued.

"The markers here indicate the whereabouts of the individuals who currently possess the legendary classes. They will show up once a day at random and for the following hour, every location they are in will be recorded on the map. Now this may seem unfair in many ways but please understand we are giving every player a chance at these classes by doing this. Thus we are avoiding favoritism of any kind."

The map behind him disappeared and Zio finished his statement.

"If you have what it takes to obtain and keep the legendary class, then the mark or 'bounty' if you will, that is over you will disappear and you will no longer be hunted for your class. The last thing I should mention, if you do not log in every day for at least 10 hours, your legendary class will be forfeit. Once again thank you for playing my game. Good luck to all."

This message was also sent privately to the 10 legendary users so that there would be no excuse of them being unaware. This included Illio, the most oblivious of the bunch.

As darkness overtook the screen and the light which was indicating a Live streaming session was now off, Zio sat behind his desk with a smile.

"I've now created the greatest stage…All the pieces are in place. Now it's up to the world to decide how this dance plays out."

The map showed up before Illio. 10 lights lit up all over the continent of Luna. None were close by him. In fact, he was the only light in the tutorial village.

This could be good. Thought Illio.

If I can stay overpowered everyone in the tutorial village will be beneath me and not a threat.

I have to obtain as much power as I can here before I move on. My future is now being threatened and I can't afford to freely give it away! Let the bastards come and take it. I'll make sure they all fall to me!

Already feeling several suspicious eyes on him, Illio took out his newly acquired weapon and faced them all.

With 'Wolf Fang' in his right hand and an ever growing crowd of soon to be enemies gathering in a circle around him, he did the only thing that would save him before He even fought his way through this massive crowd.

Despite there being a hoard of players around him with weapons drawn and ready to claim his power, all was silent. The tutorial village had more people in it than anyone initially realized thus they thought that the legendary class in it would be a pushover.

Now that the silence had reach and all time high level of deafening, everyone heard the soon to be fabled words of Illio's first legend.
