SHIZUN, HAVE SOME CANDY

Ling'er woke up early the next morning and begged her neighbor to take her to the market. She planned to buy the best ingredients from the market to turn into a feast for her Mo-Gege.

Orphaned from a young age, Ling'er was practically raised by the whole village. The women who had no daughters especially doted on her. They taught her that the way to a man's heart was through his stomach. Mo-Gege cultivated since young. He must have not eaten a lot of good food. That shizun of his was so fierce. He must have caused Mo-Gege a lot of grievances.

Ling'er was confident about her culinary skills. There had been a lot of young men in the village who she bewitched with her meals. They all wanted Ling'er to be their wife, but Ling'er had long ago set her eyes on Mo-Gege. Mo-Gege was a handsome cultivator, and not any rogue cultivator too. He was the nephew of the Sisheng Peak Sect Leader. Ling'er wanted to be Mo-Gege's wife badly. She was sure that she would be the right fit for him. Besides, did he not also dote on her? Year after year when he came to help with the harvesting season, Mo-Gege always showered her with attention and kindness.

They had known each other for a while. Mo-Gege saw her grow up. Maybe that was why he was unable to see Ling'er as the blooming flower that she had become. Ling'er needed Mo-Gege to change his perspective of her. She was now a grown woman, and she wanted him to see her that way. This year, she must get Mo-Gege to take her back to Sisheng Peak to be his wife! She must!

The New Year was approaching.

After working hard for days, the harvesting activity finally concluded. The villagers planned to make rice cakes during the day and then host a grand dinner in the evening to thank everyone, particularly the two cultivators from Sisheng Peak, for their hard work.

Since Chu Wanning was hurt, the Village Head's wife wanted him to just rest and watch as rice cakes were being made, but Chu Wanning stubbornly demanded to help. He disliked being treated like an invalid.

"It was just a shallow wound," he argued. "I can help. Let me help."

Unable to change his mind, the Village Chief's wife shook her head and gave up.

While the rice powder was being cooked in a big pot, Chu Wanning helped to watch the fire. Next to him, Mo Ran roasted peanuts and sweet potatoes for the village kids.

The kids liked Mo Ran a lot. They always gathered around him and shouted "Mo Ran Gege" here and there. This Mo Ran Gege was surely loved in the Yuliang Village. For some reason, Chu Wanning felt a little sting in his heart. In his past life, he had overseen Mo Ran's growth from a boy to a man. He saw his disciple changing from a pure-hearted young man in love to a vicious ruler over the cultivation world. In this life though, Chu Wanning missed out on five years of Mo Ran's life.

A lot of things happened in these five years. Mo Ran became a Mo-zongshi. He became entangled with Ye Wangxi. And he had a lot of admirers, too. What made Taxian-Jun change that much? Looking at his gentle eyes, no one would believe Chu Wanning if he claimed that Mo Ran once blackened so badly that he murdered men, women, and children alike in his conquest to rise to the top of the cultivation world.

Although the diary that Mo Ran gave him told him a lot of things about what Mo Ran went through in the five years, Chu Wanning still wished he could have guided Mo Ran through it.

He wanted to be the light that illuminated Mo Ran's path.

Unfortunately, he was not the one.

In the past life, it was Shi Mei.

In this life, it was Ye Wangxi.

The kids were shouting excitedly when Mo Ran started roasting a piece of candy. The fragrance of milk candy that was being roasted over open fire crept into Chu Wanning's nose and his mouth started to water.

But Mo Ran was not roasting the candy for him. Candies were for children. Chu Wanning gloomily averted his eyes and continued fanning the fire languidly.

"Shizun."

"Hmm?" Chu Wanning hummed absent-mindedly without looking at Mo Ran.

The disciple then offered him the roasted milk candy on a stick.

"..."

All of the kids started to wail from disappointment.

"Gege, I WANT that milk candy!"

"Gege, please roast more for us!!!"

Chu Wanning wanted to bite into the warm treat, but the children sounded so pitiful. He was just thinking about giving away the candy when Mo Ran coaxed them.

"Kids, the candy is for my shizun only, sorry. You can get anything else. What do you want? Peanut, corn, sweet potatoes?"

"Oh, okay..."

The children were disappointed, but they happily waited as Mo Ran started roasting a lot of food for them.

Chu Wanning still held the sweet treat in his hand. His eyes were locked on Mo Ran. Mo Ran said that the candy was for him only. Red color crept into Chu Wanning's neck and ears. The candy suddenly felt so precious. Chu Wanning did not want to eat it.

Mo Ran turned to smile at him. He wrapped his hand over Chu Wanning's and blew gently at the roasted candy.

"Shizun, be careful. It is hot."

Chu Wanning's lips parted as he fell into a daze. His eyes fell toward Mo Ran's clothes which were slightly open in the chest area, showing off his tanned skin. What was hot again?

Mo Ran lifted Chu Wanning's hand and with it the stick with the roast candy.

"Shizun, try it. It is very sweet."

The sweet milk candy felt warm against Chu Wanning's lips. When he opened his mouth and took a bite, it immediately melted and filled his mouth with sugary sweetness.

It was so good.

So delicious.

"I want more," he heard himself saying. Chu Wanning then blinked in disbelief. Did he really beg for candies like a little child?

Mo Ran broke into a smile. He took out a bag with more milk candies and whispered conspiratorially into Chu Wanning's ears. "Wait until the kids are gone, then I will roast more for Shizun."

"Mn."

Mo Ran's voice was magnetic and alluring to the heart.

Chu Wanning rubbed at his ear once Mo Ran looked away and served the children again. The adult Mo Ran had a strong and masculine aura. When he got too close to Chu Wanning, the latter could feel the fire in his disciple's body. It threatened to engulf everything, including Chu Wanning's sense of propriety.

After the rice powder had been steamed, it must be pounded repeatedly until it became soft and sticky.

The village men and women were arranged in pairs. The men swung the hammers and the women turned the cake.

Chu Wanning also wanted to swing the hammer but his foot injury did not allow him to stand for too long. In the end, he agreed to turn the cake for Mo Ran while he pounded on it with all of his might.

One, two, three, then turn over. One, two, three, then turn over.

Chu Wanning's eyes slowly wandered from the rice cake to the man that was pounding it. A layer of sweat covered Mo Ran's forehead, making it shine under the bright sun. His chest moved up and down due to exhaustion, but he still swung the hammer energetically.

"Shizun, turn over," he said with a hoarse voice that gave Chu Wanning goosebumps.

In the past life, Taxian-Jun said those words before he forced Chu Wanning on all fours. He loved taking his shizun from behind. Every time Taxian-Jun pulled out, he would slam back inside his shizun mercilessly. Every thrust was a mix of pain and pleasure. Chu Wanning's tight hole resisted the invasion stubbornly, but it also sucked on Mo Ran's penis wantonly whenever Mo Ran pulled out.

"How is it, Shizun?" Mo Ran used to taunt in his ear. "Should this disciple go deeper? Hmm?"

Although Chu Wanning always bit his lip and refused to call out in bed, Mo Ran knew that Chu Wanning's body also enjoyed the position immensely. The minute trembling of his body revealed it. Mo Ran enjoyed bullying his shizun in bed a lot.

In the present time, Chu Wanning could barely take it. He felt so hot.

Thankfully, the Village Head's wife came over with a cup of water for Mo Ran and Chu Wanning.

Chu Wanning emptied his cup with one gulp, then he asked for another. And another. And another.

Mo Ran and the Village Head's wife stared at Yuheng Elder in amazement.

"Lord Immortal, is... is everything alright?" the elder woman asked out of concern.

"Yes, why?" Chu Wanning asked without batting an eyelid.

"That... Lord Immortal drank a lot. You must be so thirsty."

"Water is good," Chu Wanning said with an indifferent face. He then turned to look at Mo Ran. "You should drink a lot too."

Mo Ran was not that thirsty, but he took another cup from the Village Head's wife to save his shizun's face.

For some reason, Chu Wanning's face was somewhat red. Mo Ran wondered if it was the sun.
