Chapter 3

When Seren has finished her activities, she intends to take a short nap in her room. But just as Seren had wanted to walk to her room, sh3 was glued with ears that were as sharp as possible to hear a sound from behind the door. Intrigued, Seren stepped forward and opened the door and was directly treated to the sight of some women from small children to gray-haired ones standing at the door with various kinds of contempt. Seren raised her eyebrows in a bewilderment watching everyone around her.

"What she said was true, I got a deadly smile from that very handsome man," some women said in a short knee-length dress to a woman in a roll of hair with a tremendous crushing intonation.

Ruffling her eyebrows with increasing bewilderment, Seren then shifted her gaze at the girl who had just pulled out a small mirror anda tiny comb from the cesspool bag that was being used. The girl smiled shyly at the Seren for a moment before refocusing on her face and her hair.

"Hey! Did you hear that your front room is taken care of? And from the spreading story that its owner is a handsome man!" A cheerful voice was right in her ear, making Seren gasp for a moment before retiring himself a step by surprise. However, she went back to her feet and stood right where she had been when she found Keina, one of the women of her own age looking at her with a look of offense. "Really? I had no idea," she muttered and then returned to the random activities of those around her. She politely followed the faint smile of everyone in the area.

Some were giggling incoherently, others were tidying up their makeup and more. Looks like she is the only one who doesn't know what's going on here.

"Your cheeks seem to be turning blue again." Keina's statement brought the atmosphere in the hall to an instant silence with startled breath. That inevitably worked to keep Seren's eyes from burning up. She was touched to learn that there was still someone who looked at her and yet there was shame in realizing how inappropriate she was. Uncomfortably, Seren raised her hand and with her fingers seeming to quiver slowly, Seren then rubbed against the surface of her right cheek. She swallowed her salad with difficulty before pulling at the corners of her lips to give a faint, comforting smile to all who openly looked at her with pity. As always, Seren thought uncomfortably. She was still unfamiliar with such attention even though she had been listening to it almost every day for some time now.

"Was he violent again? Dear God, what a beautiful child it is to feel such a terrible thing," said Aunt Joy, a woman who is quite close to her.

Aunt Joy walked slowly toward her and pulled her fragile body into her arms. She then thwarts and clings with a typical mother's soothing gesture on her child. With that one warm embrace, she suddenly broke the last of her hard to keep her guard. The little woman cried in silence, her tears rolling at once without making a sound that made everyone share in the unbearable pain. Some womens even tap the soft seren on the shoulder to encourage the powerful young woman.

"Divorce him, Seren. Stop clinging to such a scoundrel as he is." Keina mutters, coolly wiping the still faithful tears on her cheeks. Keina really feels that everything that's happened to Seren is so unfair. Why should a young woman as beautiful as Seren be stuck with a scoundrel like Baskara? There was a lingering feeling of anger and indignation that Keina had toward Seren's husband, who seemed so inhuman.

Seren and Keina meetings happened by accident when Seren moved in to live in the apartment building, but Keina seems to have been quietly sharing her chest sometimes by accident or by herself at night. Everyone knows that Seren was the victim of physical abuse by her own husband. It is no longer necessary to prove, simply considering the condition of the little woman, and then everyone would be moved by the overwhelming sympathy.

"I'm fine. I can't divorce Baskara. I'm afraid it will affect the health of mom and dad Jeremy." Seren hugged Keina once more, "calm down I was perfectly all right," Seren whispered to Keina before entering her own residence with her slumped body on the floor after closing the door with a calm smile.

Seren then leaned her back against the surface of the door and hugged her bending knees and drowned her face there. The faint sniveling of her pallid lips was trying hard to be restrained by her with her palm as soon as she heard Keina's furious screams. "Stop thinking about other people, Seren. You are a good woman and you deserve better than that son of a bitch."

Seren didn't respond to anything. The woman just kept sitting on her knees, as if it were the only thing that would keep her breathing.

After tying her hair to make it look more presentable, the fibers then walk hastily down the steps. She made a short stop in front of the wall that connected the kitchen room to the living room. Seren noticed the clear reflection of herself reflected in the mirror in front of her. Seren noticed the color of the knee-length dress she was wearing when she could hardly wait to hear the knock on the door. The beautiful woman then quickly walked toward the main door. Seren once again touched the right side of her face, which had been polished with a thin powder, and fixed the underside of the dress before slowly opening the door.

"Good morning!" The deep, hoarse voice had succeeded in making the Seren who had just opened the door immediately closed her eyes in surprise to see a truly handsome man with a charm capable of making anyone blink over and over again to make sure that he was not a hallucination. And foolishly, Seren did such a thing, she winked her eyes several times and gave herself over as soon as she realized that the figure was real.

"Wh … what's wrong?" she stammered softly. At this moment she was quite horrified that the man continued to smile tirelessly at her, who was still confused. With her bewildered brow, Seren pushed her face forward and glanced around the passage of her really quiet place at the moment. Afterward, she looked again at the man in front of her with the penetrating view from top to bottom.

"I'm Gary, your new neighbor," Gary greeted her in a friendly tone as he introduced himself. After saying the matter in a cheerful tone. Gary, without any manners, immediately dragged Seren's arm into the little lady's residence, who growled, feeling somewhat dismissive of the behavior of a stranger who was at this moment observing her wedding portrait with Baskara.

Speaking of Baskara, the man who served as her husband hasn't come home since yesterday. But Seren didn't feel dizzy, the man must be busy and not want to be bothered by anyone, especially herself.

"You're not listening to me, are you? I brought a special cake for my beautiful neighbor," says Gary, holding up his gift in his hand so that it would be in front of Seren's nervous face when she awoke from her thoughts about Baskara.

After just rocking the thing in front of Seren's face, Gary slowly lowered it back down until it dangled down to his body. Gary, who has been walking around all the time, suddenly shuddered to see a rubbish bin near the sink of the kitchen full of food that might be decaying.

"Who are you? You know that you have been breaking into my house? You better get out of here before I call the guards." Seren tried to look strong, but her cropped speech indicated that the woman was frightened. After all, what kind of woman does not freak out when her house suddenly enters her home by a stranger she has never met? Who knows the intentions of the uninvited guest.

"Gary! You are not planning on staying here, are you? Why didn't you come back earlier?" Shouting from the door put Gary and Seren together with a completely different expression. Gary, who turned white in surprise and the ringen that furled his brow, was so upset.

"Oh, I'm sorry, pretty neighbor! My husband is a womanizer. Excuse us for disturbing your morning light," said a shoulder-length brunette. She looked so beautiful in the lilac knee-length dress. She gave Seren a slight smile with a guilty look. A second later, however, the woman flicked her bright eyes at Gary, who was still standing at his post with his hands scratching his neck acting wrong.

After muttering, "Excuse me." The beautiful woman took a frightening stroll down Gary's path and pulled the man's hair toward the exit of the Seren residence and disappeared behind the door parallel to the one that was still wide open. Seren shook her head in disbelief at the couple's antics.

However, her discomfort gradually abated as to when she and Baskara might do that? Fight over jealousy. Looking at each other like Gary did to his wife, her chest literally felt so heavy as soon as she got the answer. She and baskara would never have such a thing happen to her. It's A dream that will never be fulfilled.
