Jonah kept kicking his feet around under the table and adjusting in his seat. He hadn’t really read anything in his textbook. He tried to crack his back and leaned back against the plastic chair in the library. Nick eyed him down.
“Dude, stop it,” Nick whispered over his notebook. He was scribbling down notes vigorously and used his free hand to rub his temples.
“I’m sorry, I just still feel so weird.” Jonah did his best to sit still but felt almost as if his legs were on fire. He wanted to move, stretch them out. It seemed no matter how extended he made them, it never seemed enough. Nick sighed.
“Are you even working on your ‘oh so important term paper’”? Nick barked, slamming his book closed. Jonah looked at him sheepishly.
“I’m really trying. I just feel weird. How do you manage being so tall?” Jonah questioned in frustration. Nick scoffed with a smirk.
“I think it’s easier when the height is natural. Why did you ask to be taller, anyway?”
