"Hey, babe." It looked like Chase was in a happy mood.


I loved it when he called me. It was like he knew exactly what was going on and called at the perfect time.


"You will not believe what happened when you dropped me off," I said.


I desperately wanted to recall every moment, but I needed to jump to the good parts. I could practically jump out of my seat right now.


"I'd love to hear all about it," he replied.


"Great. First, I definitely want to hear about why you look so happy." I searched his face for clues, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. I knew he was about to share something awesome because he was never this happy.


"Well, yeah, actually, I am in a pretty great mood. When I got back home, my parents made me and Emma dinner. It was amazing. It was like we were a real family. I mean, just the four of us eating and talking like any normal family," he said, beaming.
