"No!" I said, my face still buried in her neck. "I don't care what they think! I don't care what will happen! All I want is you."

My heart slowed down as I saw his calm figure across the river as always. His black hair looked smooth as silk, and his eyes looked piercing. I smiled a giant smile and started to make my way across the river. It was brisk, but fortunately, there were some stones I could jump across on. 


"Hello," I greeted my mate as I threw my arms around him. This time, he returned my affection and nuzzled me with his nose. I kissed his ears. His eyes gazed back at me with an intense stare as if he was trying to communicate to me. He slowly licked my nose in the most gentle manner. 


"Aww," I said and kissed his nose back. 


Just when I hoped he would reveal himself to me, he stood up and began to walk away from me. 


"Wait, don't leave!" I said urgently. I did not want him to run away again.
