I saw the red and pink ribbons adorning the school halls. It reminded me of the flowers that blossomed in the springtime. The ribbons were interwoven with strips of green and yellow to reflect the grass and sunshine. I clearly understand that was what the decorators had in mind. These are the beautiful ribbons that adorn our school every early February. 


It was the decorations we used to celebrate the coming of spring. Even though we were still in the heart of winter, we would soon experience the warming sunshine of spring. That was what these ribbons told us every year. They told us the Spring ball was right around the corner.


Every spring, we had a beautiful ball with garlands hanging down from the roof of the gym. We added leaves and sheer ribbons all over the gymnasium to celebrate the hope that came with spring. I loved that time of the year.
