Rebellion of Watatsumi 1

(Sasayuri's POV)

It has been more than a week since our emergency meeting. After Lady Chiyo and I left, we immediately left Inazuma through the skies with me helping the excited oni. Not really having time to enjoy our flight, we hurriedly arrived and saw Yashiori Island. Comparing the barren island that I had seen before, to the now bustling city, I can't help but feel amazed.

Landing on the big maple tree at the center of it. I looked around to see new houses as far as my eyes could see, making it one big village. Lady Chiyo really did a great job gathering the few stray villages on Yashiori Island. I looked at my side to see the oni, proud at my shocked face. I smiled as this leader of onis really is too easy to understand.

I finished my letter, before giving it to a crow for it to be delivered to Makoto. I finally left my room to find Lady Chiyo and check if anything had happened. Seeing the oni in her open office, I immediately entered the room.

"Yo, anything interesting that happened for me to know?" I asked the bored oni with a smile.

"Nothing really, its just the usual." answered a deflated Chiyo as she grumbled.

"How about we check on the signal you prepared?" I suggested to the oni. I never really knew what she planned to use since Lady Chiyo kept insisting on keeping it a secret.

"Fine! There's really nothing for me to do here anyway!" said Chiyo, finally giving in after asking about it everyday. It can't be helped, as the commander of this army, I need to make sure that everything works.

Leading me above the maple tree, we arrived at a secret place inside a hidden passage. A passage I already knew about but never really ventured into, since I knew how important a lady's privacy was. In the past I have toured Tenshukaku, only to find a secret room in one of the corridors. Ei found out about it and I suffered in our spar, even tho it's just an empty room based on what I saw.

Arriving in a room with an open view in the sky, I saw a big object hidden with cloth.

"Behold my creation and be amazed!" the excited Chiyo shouted with glee as she removed the cloth.

"A giant bow that I created! I already have a special arrow prepared and all I need to do is to use my pyro vision before activating it!" explained the proud oni with a big smile, puffing out her chest that doesn't lose to Makoto. No wonder they got along with each other, I thought.

"Isn't this a ballista?!" I exclaimed to Chiyo.

"Eh? You know what this is?" asked the confused oni as her face darkens.

"Of course, It's a weapon used by the Geo Archon from what I heard." I answered as the oni deflated on the ground. Noticing I fked up; I quickly helped her up.

"It's still a genius idea Lady Chiyo, someone just did it earlier than you. Even so, you did it without knowing that someone made it meaning you are on par with the original creator." I quickly tried to fix the situation, and after seeing her expression I knew it worked.

"That's right! Someone making it earlier than me doesn't mean my genius lessened since I didn't even knew it existed in the first place!" Shouted the proud oni with a shining smile.

I jumped down from the tree holding a cheerful Chiyo, then we walked back to the base side by side. But before we got inside, a sweating Yoshitsune suddenly appeared. Realizing the emergency, both of us looked at her and waited.

"A massive fleet suddenly appeared coming from Watatsumi Island. Behind them is a giant snake with a fluorescent body covered in myriad-colored coral." Yoshitsune reported her findings immediately.

"Bring the human soldiers with you and lead the evacuation immediately, Yoshitsune! We have ships prepared to bring them to Kannazuka!" I quickly ordered, Yoshitsune leaving right away before looking at the oni.

"It's your time Chiyo, go and fire the signal!" I told my trusted friend.

"Leave it to me! I'll make sure it will go with a big explosion!" answered the excited Chiyo before going back to the top of the tree.

I unleashed my tengu wings before flying up to the sky and putting everything I had on my voice.

"THE ENEMY IS HERE WITH A GOD BY THEIR SIDE BUT DO NOT BE AFRAID! WE ONLY NEED TO HOLD THEM BACK FOR A FEW MINUTES BEFORE HER MAJESTY COME! RALLY UNDER ME, ONIS AND TENGUS! FOR THE GLORY OF THE RAIDEN SHOGUN!" I shouted to the heavens, and the army cheered in response.

(Ei's POV)

I was continuing my training in a hidden room when I heard a sudden explosion near Tenshukaku. I hurriedly went to Makoto's office as I saw her standing, staring at the open balcony.

"That girl really did it. I need to ask Chiyo later to compensate for trying to attack my castle. If I didnt stop that, it would had hit Tenshukaku and left it with severe damages." I heard my sister say as she saw me going inside.

"Are you ready Ei? Orihime will take care of everything while we're gone." she asked for a final confirmation.

"Yes, sister!" I answered with urgency. Understanding my plight, we left immediately.
