A Secret Agreement

"It's finally done!" I celebrated loudly, since there's no one who can hear it anyway. My creation is finally done after two weeks even though I estimated it to be finished in at least a month. It seems like I underestimated my current genius, since it's been a while when I was in my prime state.

Working on it every chance I had, even going back and forth from Sangonomiya secretly. Of course, I didn't forget to tend to my beautiful wife's needs.

Don't tell anyone, but I have a feeling she's hiding something from me. When I asked about her ongoing visit to her fox friend, she never told me the full situation. 

I'm not obsessive enough to try to know everything that happens in her life, but I trust my gut feeling since it's mostly accurate, especially when it's about my safety. 

...Maybe I'll sneak around for a bit before showing myself to gather some information tommorow, the time of my visit, and to present my gift to an old friend.

I took a glance at my surroundings before dashing to another spot. Operation: Eavesdropping is currently happening as I take in all the information I have from all the people here at the shrine.

The scenery is quite amazing, especially when I know how it was made. Shrine buildings with their shrine maidens, and a giant cherry blossom tree that was shaped like a fox.

"Ahaha... What an easy mission. Sigh*" To be honest, I'm really nervous right now. Dreadful, especially because I can't even completely remember the last time I felt such an emotion. Let's just say I have a few bad memories with foxes...

"Found them... Target locked on! Now then..." Chime--* I used my strongest concealment arts to make sure not a single thing went wrong, and went closer to the three beautiful ladies chatting over tea.

"Hel_____e____ch____Lu-" Close, just a few more steps and I should be able to hear their conversation fully.

"I decline, but don't worry, I won't interfere..."I heard Ei say, who was currently talking to the Guuji, Yae Miko.

"...You better not, I reluctantly waited in this place for our agreement after all." She replied, which was in a surprising serious tone. I wonder, what's the topic of their chat that caused her to act unusual. 

I met her a lot of times because Orihime gathers the yokais regularly in a meeting called Hyakkiyakou, though back then she was still really young. She mostly stuck around while looking like a normal Kitsune you can find anywhere.

"Is this really needed? I think you two should stop and do it normally..." Orihime stated with a concerned tone. Yes! Go Orihime! If anything, she's the most mature person in our group. I don't know what they're talking about, but do your best at stopping their scheme. 

I then continued to cheer her on in my mind.

"It will end up fine, no need to worry... But now I'm curious, have you never thought of such things about him Lady Orihime?" Yae started to tease the old fox. I think I can guess what they're talking about now, but I still need decisive evidence to be sure.

"Of course I did, but I can't really interfere in this two aren't I? And I enjoy our current dynamic right now..." She answered with a faint blush and a genuine smile.

"No wonder he always boasts about you being the one with the most mature nature among us." Ei complimented her, feeling a bit jealous, I assume, and I completely agree with the statement.

"I'm happy that he thinks that of me..." You say that, but I think there's more to it. You look like you're in cloud nine lady.

"And Miko, why is it that you call Orihime with respect but not me?!" Ei complained like a child throwing a tantrum. If I was there, I would deadpan and say that's why...

"You said it earlier didn't you? She has that mature aura around her, and she's the Goddess of us Kitsunes you know?" She answers, but only the first part of her question. She's definitely provoking her.

"And?! I'm the Electro Archon! The Ruler of Inazuma!" It's fun seeing Ei act like a child occasionally. Good Job Yae!

"Are you now? I guess heading into adulthood didn't improve your maturity, How disappointing~. Fufufu..." Nice Jab! Good Jab Yae!... hahaha. But don't do that again..., it sends chills down my spine. 

The two then continued their banter while Orihime was still silent, occupied in her own daydream. This should be the perfect time to show myself, getting caught right now will only lead to trouble. 

But before that... I saw something, or maybe someone hiding earlier, she isn't that good enough to fool me, though. I traced my path to go back and see it. A tanuki tail sticking out of a barrel. I pulled it out only to discover a sleeping little girl. I didn't bother disturbing her sleep and took her with me.

I confirmed everything I thought of. I definitely didn't come here to this world because of another troublesome fox, but with chance and luck. I thought Void-neesan got mad and decided to lend me to another planet. Phew!

I slowly walked inside the shrine, hidden from public view by a barrier of sorts. I steadily walked loud enough for them to hear my approach. The tiny ninja-looking girl only kept sleeping on my hands.

It didn't take long for my figure to appear in front of them, and vice versa. I stared at them, silently, checking out each of their reactions. Orihime was shocked and definitely woke up from her daydream. I can still notice a small hint of redness on her face. While Ei is just smiling at my arrival. 

I wasn't able to look into the last person, as my sense of dread got stronger with each second. I decided to do the best thing I could think of.

"Is there a party in here beautiful ladies? I hope you don't mind if I suddenly join with my sleeping companion here. And did I mention beautiful?! What I mean is that all three of you are absolutely stunning and gorgeous in my eyes!" I loudly announced my visit and my will to join in the fun.

"Please do join us, Lu!" Orihime replied with a beautiful smile. Wake up, I'm the real one! Stop acting like that or I'll fall for you! 

"Of course I don't mind, Husband~..." Ei said in a seductive tone. You really had to fuel the fire, didn't you?!

"Fufufufu...." Is it too late now to run?...

I want to go home...
