A New Year For Inazuma 1

(3rd Person POV)

The crowd did not immediately disperse even after their two deities left, leaving Lumine and Paimon alone on the podium. Most of them stayed put to process everything that occurred.

It was simply mindblowing, the amount of changes that happened in Inazuma that they remained ignorant about.

"Everyone! Please make yourself out of the place peacefully. But before that, I have something to announce to all of you, given by his majesty himself!" Kujou Sara exclaimed, gaining the attention of the excited audience.

" 'The Tenshukaku will be open to everyone once the time reaches 6pm. Please do attend if you wish and make sure to enjoy the festival.' That is all, you may leave!" The tengu general then started to guide everyone for an organized exit from the venue.

The remaining Commisioners and Faction Leaders were also left to tend to their own duties. But the sudden disappearance of Lady Makoto and the two tengu seniors, she has continued to bother her.

(His Majesty seemed really angry this time. I hope Senior Reizenbou makes it out of there fine...)

"Little girl... Do you understand the mistake you did this time?" Raiden Lu asked with an unusual smile.

"Of course, Father! I showed your people the greatness of us tengus!" The prideful Reizenbou answered in her usual lively tone.

"Hooh? So you do know of the problem you caused?" The deity's temper was nearing its limit.

"What problem are you talking about, Father? The citizens were speechless during my introductions!" The tengu was confused about her guardian's behavior, but she felt something familiar about it.

"You little brat! Did you need to call me father in front of the crowd not only once, but twice! Come here immediately and I'll lighten your punishment..." The mad former tengu beckoned her to come. He was set on showing her why he was given a whip.

"Punishment?! I am a bit too old for something like that, don't you think, your majesty?!" Reizenbou recalled the reason why the current situation felt familiar.

She cannot count how many times her adoptive father spanked her when she was still a rowdy child.

"Oh no you aren't... In my eyes, you are still the same little girl I sheltered back then." A chime sounded, and the new tengu leader felt more dread. Lu was about to cast a spell to catch her when somebody interfered.

"Calm down, dear. There's no need to traumatized the little tengu, is there?" Ei said, with her was her sister, Makoto, and the other tengu, Yoshitsune.

"Forgive her this once milord. I'll make sure she remembers this lesson." His most loyal retainer pleaded, to help Reizenbou out.

If Lu was Reizenbou's father, Yoshitsune would be her mother as the other one who took care of her. But in this case, a guardian would be more plausible.

"Yes yes! Big sis is right. I wouldn't do this again!" The troublesome tengu played along, using her sincere eyes technique.

"...You better..." The male deity replied, and a relieved sigh came out from the two tengus. Yoshitsune related much to the other, as she herself experienced such punishments as well.

"Don't be in such a bad mood just after what happened earlier. And I must say, I didn't expect that at all. Now be a good boy and come with me for your reward~." The newly wed female said seductively.

(You mean your reward, Woman!) Her husband thought of correcting her, but didn't, as to not spoil her good mood.

The former archon, Raiden Makoto was completely silent throughout the scene, seemingly focused in her mind. The others naturally noticed this, but left the commissioner on her own.

At the top of Mt. Yougou were three alluring ladies chatting over tea. Correction, they haven't even started yet, but the air was already full of hostility, making the oldest of them confused.

"Oh my~. What may I owe for a visit from none other than the divine priestess of Sangonomiya~." The Guuji of Mt. Yougou, Yae Miko inquired.

"There is no need for such formalities, new Great Yokai of the Kitsunes. I am only here to see if the Grand Narukami Shrine were doing well." Kokomi answered, in a passive-aggressive tone.

"I hope what you saw, will be for your liking. But... That dog that follows you everytime isn't around this time~, so I was quite surprised. The lad forgot about his master perhaps~?" The air got colder after that double-meaning bomb.

"...Gorou is currently catching up with his friend Kazuha... And if you're talking about my faith, the faith of Sangonomiya... Orobashi will always remain as our first and founder deity. It's just, it's time for the clan and our people to move on towards a better future." Kokomi stated with narrowed eyes.

"Stop right there you two. Why so hostile? When you pretty much serve the same god now. The Narukami Shrine worships the Electro Archon, while The Sangonomiya Clan now revere the Almighty Conqueror. There shouldn't be any reason for such antagonistic behaviors." The freshly made Kitsune Saiguu, said with a voice full of maturity.

"Yes! You are absolutely right, lady! How fortunate I am, to be able to serve his majesty personally! ...Heh~..." Kokomi added at the end with a smirk.

"This little-

"Besides! Why not get along with each other, as women aiming for the same man?" Orihime interruped Yae's incoming outburst with a reasonable statement.

"Then... Are you saying that you don't hold any affection for him, lady?" Miko asked skeptically.

"Of course not. Me and Lu have been long-term friends. We are a bit closer than most, but that is all there is." She replied with a stoic expression. The two high priestesses finally calmed down after so much tension.

"Well then... Let's start a new, shall we?" Kokomi suggested before holding out her hand, in which Yae shook in agreement.

The three finally started this meeting. This time, in a more lively and cheerful atmosphere. They talked continuously until night, mainly focusing on what they could improve about both shrines.

And Of course, him. The new deity, and the current topic of the entirety of Inazuma's populace.
