Prison Break

Lisa arrived at home that early afternoon with Damien at her side. She was furious and wanted nothing more than to squash the head of that demon deputy. Damien closed the door behind her and held her wrist. She stopped to look at him, still fuming.

Immediately, his thumb brushed over her bruised knuckles. He suspected she had gotten then from the jump and Lisa felt her heart flutter dangerously.

She stared at her bruised hand in silence, then she drew it out from his hold, raising her eyes to him. She remembered when she had done the same for him and cared for his wounds in the common room.

"Let me see," he said, stepping closer.

"It's nothing." She fired back.

Marcus walked in on them. He saw that they were back, looking dishevelled, but still in one piece. He felt relieved and motioned for them to follow him into the arsenal. They did. Lisa brought up the rear and when the wall turned them into the next room, Marcus's voice came.
