They were both shot from behind.
When the shots were fired, the guy (boss) looked in the direction of the gunshots.
"Karma!!"
Aryan screamed out his name while holding the gun.
"Hands up, whoever you are, for your kidnapping, attempted murder, and other crimes. You have been arrested."
"How did you get away?"
I guess the man shouldn't be surprised.
"I'm trained for scenarios like these; avoiding a trap like that isn't that difficult."
"As one would expect from Dad."
His mother, Ava Griffin, who was standing next to Aryan, looked at Karma.
"When we get home, we need to talk."
Karma lowered his head and nodded in accord.
"Yeah..."
Karma appeared to be in some distress, but he knew that today was the day to tell them.
Even after all of his members were killed, he did not feel even remotely cornered; instead, he had a funny but slightly obnoxious face.
"Heh, returning home?
"What exactly is this? Is the entire family taking a stroll? Nobody is going anywhere."
Aryan pointed the gun at him and moved slowly.
"One last warning, kneel and give up."
Agastha could now detect that something was awry since the man did not flinch and gently raised his right hand in the air.
(Karma, although it's faint, I can feel his demonic presence)
The man was shot by Aryan before Karma could respond to Agastha's warning, and although he was struck, the shot wasn't particularly effective.
Aryan fired one round, then the whole magazine.
When Aryan stared at the man following the noises, shock and panic raced through him. He was seeing things that he could not believe. The man was shielded from the gunfire by a wall of flames, remaining unharmed.
"That, hurts, you bastard,"
Karma became aware of the danger he was in at that very time.
"—His right hand"
The guy sprinted at Aryan before anybody could react.
Karma too hurried in the direction of his father, but he moved more slowly than the other person.
Flames were streaming from his palms like water or, as Karma perceived it, like "blood."
The guy got there before Karma did. With his right hand, he gave the Chief a good smack, sending him flying. Anyone could see that Chief had broken at least some of his bones as he slammed against the walls.
Karma's pace was increased by his desperation, even if it risked shredding the muscles in his legs in the process.
Karma appeared directly behind the man after he flew in and sprang into the air, giving the impression that he had teleported.
Karma aimed at the back of his head, but it appeared that he already had eyes there. The man halted the punch by twisting his right hand as if it were boneless.
With his right hand, he drew Karma to his front, and with his left, he struck him hard in the chest. Karma took a hard punch to the chest, and like his father, was tossed to the ground and briefly lost consciousness.
Injured Karma slowly opened his eyes as he lay injured on the ground, unable to do anything but watch the stranger approach his mother.
As the man with impure flames on his right hand stood in front of her, Ava was in a condition of panic and helplessness.
"No, don't... Do it"
Karma begged in a quiet voice and attempted to extend his hand, but no one heard him.
!Crack!
"...huh?..."
He could hear even a pin drop in the gentle rain since something was amiss with his senses at the moment. His ears heard a loud cracking noise.
"KYAAAAAA!!!!!"
Ava screamed, and she felt the anguish of having her arm, which was now fractured, stabbed repeatedly with hundreds of knives in the same position.
The man showed no pity at all; in fact, he seemed a little delighted by her screaming.
His expression lost the contemptuous humor, and he briefly halted. He put Ava into the trash and turned to face Karma because he believed he heard something.
"..I...will...."
"Huh? What was that brat?"
"I. WILL. KILL. YOU!!"
He was already face down on the ground, so he trapped it with his fingers and legs, gave himself a lift with three of his limbs, and dashed.
The man noticed Karma holding a rock in his right hand as he raced, but ignored it since what can he even do with a broken arm? Karma's right hand was dangling above the ground, so the man understood straight away that it was broken from the hit. But he was surprised by something.
Karma flung the rock with his right hand, and his motion was unlike that of an ordinary person; at that precise instant, the boulder sliced through raindrops, and his throw easily outran the velocity of a gunshot.
He could not have imagined what was coming at him, and before he had a chance to fight himself, the rock pierced his stomach.
"He, faked it?"
It was already too late when he understood that Karma had fabricated having fractured his hand.
His stomach was bleeding, but if he had covered it, he would have already passed away from the lack of time Karma gave him to respond. Karma swiftly closed the gap between them.
"Argh!! You tiny fuck!"
He was left with no choice but to leave his wound exposed and fight Karma. Karma swung his left hand when he was within striking distance, but he was quickly halted. By stopping his fist with his right hand, the guy allowed Karma to be burned by his flames.
If it had been any other person, he may have started sobbing by now, but Karma was focused solely on protecting.
In exchange for pulling his right hand back to the level of his wrist and clenching it so hard that the nails left a mark on his flesh, Karma, unaffected, let the flames sear his left hand. He delivered a very powerful hit to the side of his skull in an attempt to instantly kill him.
The man had no choice but to let go of the man after the man experienced a very violent concussion and briefly lost consciousness. Karma immediately grasped the man's right hand after he lost his balance.
!Crack!
"ARGHAAAAA!!!"
Karma shattered the man's right arm, which served as his only weapon, as payback. He yelled out in agony and dropped to his knees, cradling his shattered arm.
But Karma didn't give a damn about his suffering; all he wanted to do was kill. Karma smacked the man on the back of the head as he was on his knees, and blood began to ooze from his nose. Karma grabbed him by the head and hurled him the same way he had thrown his father.
The impact was undoubtedly powerful when the person smashed through the walls.
It was already too late when the person realized what he had done. He saw Karma move closer to him while his heart raced frantically. By this time, the guy knew that he had summoned a demon. Now, crying and whining would be ineffective for him.
'What...is he, argh...fuck...fuck fuck fuck?' the man thought.
"Wait, let us stop here, please, don't come near me. STAY AWAY!! PLEASE"
He attempted to move his hand and pleaded, but to no avail; he had no possibility of escaping this.
The guy blinked his eyes in astonishment as Karma approached and peered into his eyes. For a brief moment, the man swears he saw a faint red glow emanating from Karma's eyes.
Karma trampled the man underfoot as rain. He persisted till he was pleased and gave up when the man made no more movement.
Even though the man's face was no longer recognizable, Karma nonetheless stabbed the man in the neck with a sharp piece of metal she had picked up from the ground.
A voice called to him once he had fully calmed down.
"K-Karma, is that, you?"
He spoke without seeing his father in the eyes and kept his head bowed.
"Yeah"
On his face, Aryan had a burn scar.
"What happened to you?"
Despite her anguish, Ava managed to maintain her calm.
"Let's first leave this area and ask for help. You should also phone and report what happened here to your department."
Both of them were filled with inquiries but were apprehensive to make any.
