{ CHAPTER - 26 } CUTTING ALL TIES

Regardless of whether they were nutritious or not, he munched on them like an animal out of pure need.

After finishing his meal, he walked to the other room, brought a blanket, plugged in the TV, and changed the channel to movies.

He curled himself like a ball, covered himself with the blanket, and sat down on the couch.

Unfortunately, a scene that was designed to be depressing and would only make him angrier than before occurred on television, right? NO.

He "WAS" going to cry again as he saw the depressing scenario, but instead, he refrained because he was reminded by his father to "keep on smiling," which he did. He laughed as a depressing situation was occurring. "HEHE"

Karma chuckled at the scenario, which was meant to be sorrowful like crazy, as she curled up into a ball on the couch. Hehehe- HAHAHAA

What the hell was he doing? Karma was momentarily perplexed by his behavior; he hadn't intended to chuckle but had done it unconsciously.

He began to feel sleepy and his eyes began to get heavy. He then passed out while watching television.

===================

He was startled out of sleep as a dazzling beam of sunshine dropped on his face. "Ach–"

He fell asleep in one position, making it difficult for him to move when he tried to get up since his muscles were stiff and painful.

Just behind the couch, Agastha remarked. (Muscle aches?)

"Be quiet,"

He was sorry he didn't sleep in bed. He was in pain, but he managed to stand up, and as he did, he lost feeling in his right hand. "What the"

He was fully supported by his right arm while he lay on the couch watching television.

(Isn't that what happens when people sleep incorrectly? Seriously, humans are so weak.)

Karma disregarded him and moved his hurting body toward the smashed window. After glancing at the clear sky, he turned to the wall-mounted clock and noticed that it was 8:00 in the morning.

He proceeded to clean his teeth after passing the packages of noodles, banana peels, and some partially consumed tomatoes.

He refreshed himself by sprinkling water on his face. Just using a towel to wipe his face, something unexpected happened.

!Ting-Tong!

Does this not seem a little bit familiar? He was surprised when his doorbell went off at home. In all honesty, he didn't want to talk to anyone, but the bell kept ringing.

How would he react? Who may that be? How was Karma able to invite anybody inside when he hadn't even cleaned the house?

!Ting-Tong!

He was forced to answer since the bell continued ringing to avoid being seen as suspicious.

He attempted to style his hair as best he could and dashed towards the door.

!Ting- Tong!

He inhaled deeply as he stood in front of the door and then unlocked it. "Who?"

"Yo, how are you doing?"

A buddy of Karma's rang the doorbell, but why did he come here?

Karma exited and cleverly closed the door behind him to block his friend's view of the interior.

He said while flashing a false smile. "Hey, Ayush."

When he peered a little closer, despite his foggy brain and impaired eyesight, he saw four other individuals—three of whom were female—standing next to Ayush. These individuals were his other buddies.

Agastha made fun of him (Look who has friends)

Karma attempted to remain calm despite his mild terror, but he found it difficult to do so due to the confusion in his head.

"How did you end up here so early in the morning, and you guys too?"

The four individuals behind were talking to one another while Ayush and Karma were conversing.

All three of the girls were stunning, but Riya stood out from the others because she was a little reserved.

As she moved ahead, one of the females whispered to her and said. "Hey, here's your chance, go speak with him."

She 'Obviously' had a crush on Karma, but was afraid to approach him.

As she approached him and began speaking with him, Riya hesitated and flushed. "Hello, there... Karma."

Karma had to maintain a grin even though he simply wanted to be left alone. He wasn't that foolish as to not grasp what was going on. Hello, Riya

After returning her greeting, Karma instantly disregarded her and carried on speaking with Ayush.

When the other females saw Riya, they decided to move forward to assist her while she was simply uncomfortably standing. "Anyway, Karma, why don't you come along with us while we prepare what to do for goodbye tomorrow?"

Karma stated while nervously laughing. "I'm kind of busy right now, haha... I'm sorry."

The females persisted in pushing it as they attempted to enter. "Why don't we discuss this inside?"

Karma halted her when she attempted to get past him. "W–Wait"

He stopped her from entering as everyone turned to stare at him. "What's the matter?"

"Sorry, but you can't go inside."

Everybody was perplexed. "Why not?"

"I'm extremely busy right now and there's some stuff going on inside, so that's why."

The second female approached him and stepped forward. "What sort of things are you so 'busy' with?"

Standing behind him, his other male companion spoke up and said. "Yeah man, we called you so many times last night and you didn't even pick up the phone,"

They all steadily pushed themselves forward, trying to ram their way inside.

(If they enter the home, you'll be in trouble; if they call the police, you're done; I say you kill them all.)

What is he talking about? Kill them? They are his friends, thus it stands to reason that he could never do that. But has he changed since then?

While Riya was still awkwardly standing, the first girl remarked, "Yeah, let's discuss inside."

Karma had had enough; he didn't want them to suffer damage, therefore he wanted them to go; nevertheless, if they persist in trying to come inside, he may have to resort to the unimaginable.

(Hurry up and just get rid of them)

"Hey Karma–"

Ayush halted mid-calling his name and stopped in terror; for a brief moment, everyone was struck by it—the fear of dying—but they were all perplexed as to why.

Karma spoke while giving Ayush a direct look in the eyes. "Go Back," heard everybody.

For a brief while, Ayush had the impression that Karma was different from the person he had previously known and that he was speaking to someone else.

Karma slowly opened the door and strolled back in when everyone fell silent.
