{ CHAPTER - 37 } FIRST DAY OF TRAINING

(Due to the lack of everything, we just have to make use of everything we can)

"So what do I need to do first?"

The demon held his index finger in the air as he mentioned casually (Why don't we start light with some push-ups? Hmm how about you go for 10,000)

'What did he just say? 10,000? And how can he be so careless about it? Karma questioned, "Do you even realize what you say sometimes?" with skepticism.

Okay, this was a legitimate question, and he had every right to do so, but the demon's arguments were well-supported by logic.

(As I have mentioned to you earlier, a conjurer has a greater physique by nature, so doing 10,000 push-ups will be like 1,000 push-ups to a normal person)

He was getting the logic the demon wanted to refer to and tried to trust his words.

Even if it's 1000 to a regular person, it's still difficult. However, it is not impossible. He utilized this reasoning to persuade himself as he brought his body to the ground.

If we want to achieve great outcomes, having the ideal form is crucial, and Karma already understood this.

Even though he took his time, he maintained flawless form throughout the whole push-up.

——3 HOURS LATER——

"9,997...9,998....9,999...10,000"

His hands were shaking violently as he finished after several hours.

"HAA– HUU– HAA– HUU–"

He appeared to have just gotten out of the shower because of how heavily he was breathing and how much perspiration was all over him.

(Don't breathe from your lungs only, try to breathe from your stomach as much as you can)

Noticing his wrong breathing, he corrected him.

(Take a very deep breath through your stomach and expand it as you breathe in, then shrink your stomach as you release the air through your mouth, not your nose)

As mentioned, Karma took a deep breath and expanded his stomach, and released it through his mouth instead of his nose.

(Make sure your teeth are visible and keep a small space open in between your teeth as you push the air out of your body)

As he released the air through the gap in between his teeth, the air made the sound of whistling.

Repeating the same process 5 - 7 times helped him greatly to calm his breath.

"It was a bit hard but, I feel a lot better now"

Feeling better was not enough, he needed more rest. But who's gonna tell this to the demon?

(If you have calmed down then let's move on to the next one, shall we?)

He was equally astonished and a little shocked, and his hands were still trembling as a result.

But given how crucial time is to the movement, let's stop bickering with the demon and waste time.

"What's next?"

(Squats, 10,000)

'Compared to push-ups squats should be relatively easy' was what he thought, but.

"How... Many more....?"

(Don't worry just keep on going, you still have 100 left to go)

"1–100?"

Maintaining the perfect form was what he hoped for, but seeing him now. He can barely even do 1.

He wanted to keep his immaculate form, but seeing him now. He can barely even manage 1.

He moved forward at a fair clip in the beginning but slowed down later.

His legs were trembling so violently that if anyone saw him, it would seem miraculous as to how he is still standing.

If people saw him persevering, especially those who loved the gym, they could compliment him for not giving up. But no one could have predicted the reason behind his refusal to give up.

Would people still respect him if they understood his motivations? Who would stand with him if they knew what motivates him?

To relate society to politics, one may say that people only support those who can do them a favor in return.

Additionally, Karma's actions go against all social norms, making him the clear antagonist in this situation.

"9,999.... 10,000....."

!Thud!

"I– I can't feel my legs"

As soon as he reached his target of 10,000 squats, he collapsed with a thump.

He lost the ability to feel his legs, they were numb, blood rushed through his veins, and he was immobile.

(Good job on not giving up)

He was exhaling heavily as he made an effort to relax his lower body's muscles. The devil reminded him as he saw him in this condition.

(Maintain your breathing)

In contrast to when he repeated it seven times, he noticed his breathing stabilize after just three repetitions.

Because the advantages of being a conjurer are so enormous, the body only needed to be pushed very near to the brink once before it became accustomed to it.

"What's next?"

(Now that we've done that, let's start the difficult part), the demon muttered as he drew up to the human and clasped his hands together in joy.

He questioned his hearing and rubbed his ears as he sat on his butt, his body leaned back, and his hands supported him as he glanced up at the ceiling.

Because he did not think that this was not the difficult part, as had been described to him. It's already noon, and he worked on this for more than 4 hours.

"W–What do you mean by the hard part? What are we gonna do now?"

(It means precisely what I said) the devil repeated after him in a more confident voice. (We are currently working on the challenging portion; it will probably take us another 8 to 10 hours to complete)

His eyes widened as he frantically sought confirmation. "What, are we going to do next?"

(Now you will have to do, 10,000 sit-ups, 30 minutes of plank, 10,000 more push-ups but with weight, and 10,000 more squats with some weight too)

After hearing all of this, his resolve began to progressively wane since he was unsure of how to carry out his plan.

But with little other option, he was forced to stand up and get ready. He just had one question. "You mentioned weights, where are those?"

(Don't worry about that. I can increase my weight accordingly so I can sit on your back during your push-ups and squats, I can just be on your back)
