The Shell

The shell was hollow,

The shell was weak,

The shell was fatigued,

The shell wanted something different.

The shell was envious.

Envious of that shell that was strong,

of that one that was full,

of that one that was energized.

What the sheel didn't realize was that,

the other shells weren't strong,

weren't full,

weren't energized.

They were all the same.

All of them were weak,

hollow,

and fatigued.

The shell didn't,

couldn't realize that.

The shell was blind-sighted,

From its preconceived views.
