Wishing to be Caught

"Also tell Aunt Zi." Zi Su could not wait any longer.

Steamed Bun wasn't so biased and told Zi Su in secret.

"What a clever little thing." Zi Su couldn't help but praise him with a face full of pride.

In the morning, many servants in the mansion realized that the usually well-behaved and sensible duke was silently crying in the garden.

Steamed Bun really was crying. As he cried, he thought to himself. The chili concoction on the handkerchief was so spicy that he couldn't even open his eyes.

Zi Su rushed over after hearing the news. She looked around at the servants who were peeking at her and then used a voice that everyone could hear to persuade Steamed Bun, "Your mother didn't mean to scold you. Something happened in the mansion so she's not in a good mood."

"Did I do wrong?" Steamed Bun raised his head and looked pitifully at Zi Su with his swollen red eyes.

Zi Su looked at him. She knew he was a fake, but her heart softened.
