For Lu Chen, there used to be no nightlife.

A poor man like him would either stay home and play games after dark (he wouldn't charge a penny) or work part-time somewhere.

But he'd been to the Bund, more than once, because he'd been a temporary worker there for a while.

While the other youngsters were enjoying the deafening music, he was carrying a tray and shuttling through the crowd. Then, with a fake smile, he brought all kinds of drinks and drinks to the guests' table.

He left the boisterous place after he had knocked over a bottle of a thousand bottles of wine.

"It should have been half a year since I last came, right?"
